The Shores Club in Daytona Beach Shores is a direct oceanfront condominium located on a pristine, quiet no-drive beach. This 3-bedroom, 3-bath, 1800 sq. ft. condo is smoke-free and was recently remodeled and includes a new kitchen with granite counters, completely remodeled bathrooms, new tile floors in the living/dining/hall and new furniture. The condo, unit #1007, is on the 10th floor and features spectacular ocean views from the extra large balcony (it's a corner unit), master bedroom, living room, dining room and kitchen. The second & third bedrooms and back balcony feature wonderful sunset views of the Halifax River and the Intracoastal Waterway. Sorry, no single night rentals - minimum weekly rental or longer.

All the amenities of home can be found here, including a 40' flat screen TV in the living room, a DVD player, wireless Internet and 32' flat screen TV's in all three bedrooms. There is a private, full-size washer and dryer right in the condo. Linens and towels are provided. We have beach toys, beach towels & several beach cruiser bicycles available for your use. Enjoy a bike ride on the beach at low tide, or explore the area on bicycle. The facilities are well maintained with on-site managers. It is a very safe area, and the building has electronic locks on all outside doors and secure main-level garage parking.

Daytona Beach Ocean Views – This is what Florida vacation rental is all about! The best view at the condominium is from the large balcony that can be accessed from both the living room and master bedroom. It provides a 180 degree panoramic view up and down the beach and out to sea. Dolphins are seen regularly and whales have been known to be sighted. Seabirds are often seen diving on schools of fish visible from the balcony, and residents of the condos have been known to rush out with either a pole or net to bring home dinner.

The master bedroom has a king bed, ocean-front balcony, flat screen TV, walk-in closet and private master bath. The second bedroom has 2 queen beds, closet and an adjoining bath. The third bedroom has 2 queen beds, closet, and private bath. The bedrooms and the back balcony have spectacular views of the Intracoastal Waterway. The kitchen is fully furnished with microwave, stove, toaster, refrigerator with ice maker, dishwasher, coffee maker, blender, dishware and cookware. The living room, with its comfortable large leather sofa and 3 comfortable chairs, provides a nice conversation or TV viewing area. There is a large flat screen TV and DVD player.

The Shores Club offers a wide variety of activities. A heated swimming pool with large deck is located ocean-side. There are also BBQ grills for your use located near the pool. Want a little exercise? The Shores Club has a full tennis court, basketball court, shuffleboard court, fitness center with ocean views and indoor sauna for your use.

The area has a wide variety of activities:

-Lighthouse Point Park– 4 miles down the beach. A beautiful 52-acre park that features a fishing pier, hiking nature trails, wildlife, an observation tower, swimming and picnicking. Over 2 miles of shoreline and beach. Nearby is a kayak nature trail.

- Ponce Preserve - 3 miles - a 41 acre nature preserve that includes a boardwalk out to the Halifax River with 3 covered gazebos, kayak and canoe launches and a fishing dock. Great area for bird watching, picnic areas and a new playground for children.

- Golf - The area has many nice golf courses. The renowned LPGA International Champions and Legends courses features 36 holes of championship golf – 16 miles. Golf Digest recently ranked Daytona Beach in the top 15 places to play in the nation.

- Shopping & Dining – Short beach walk to Sunglow Pier restaurant Crabby Joes; multiple waterfront restaurants within 5 minutes. Full range of shopping options nearby or consider a day trip to St. Augustine where there are many quaint shops and galleries.

- Daytona International Speedway – 10 miles

- Daytona 500 Experience – 10 miles

- Daytona Beach Boardwalk & Pier – 6 miles

- Ponce Inlet Lighthouse & Museum – 5 miles. Climb Florida's tallest light house that stretches 175 feet into the sky.

Summer Vacation

Great place to stay for your summer getaway. Arrived after 4pm on Saturday so we had to make arrangements to get the keys which was no problem. No need to bring anything but your bathing suit and evening attire. Everything else was there. Great views of the ocean and intercoastal. My son and I also went deep sea fishing with The Critter Fleet just down the road. Highly recommended as we had a great day and fish for supper. The only problem was that the week went by way too fast. If you want a carefree week or more this is the place.

Really nice condo stay for our family

Arrival was non-eventful (be sure if you are arriving on a weekend to make prior arrangements to handle payment and keys / remote pick-up). Fortunately, I spoke with property management about 3 to 4 weeks out and found out that arrangements had to be made to pick-up the keys since they would not be anyone in the office on our Saturday arrival.

The unit was just as described. Everything was in working condition. We had one minor issue locating the extra towels (they were in a closet that was hidden behind the main bathroom door that one could not really see when that door was being opened)....sounds strange but it was a tad frustrating at the time.

As a previous poster mentioned, there was still some serious construction on-going in the unit directly above us. This was disconcerting at times. If one had been renting a hotel room and this was happening, some financial restitution would be in order. In the world of condo rentals this is just a chance that one takes. It was not a show-stopper but it is something that potential renters of condos show be mindful of when renting any condo.

One issue that did impact us was the fact that the lights at the tennis court / shuffleboard / basketball court did not appear to be operational. Our family had planned to take advantage of these facilities at night and were unable to do so. Our 14 year old tennis player really was unhappy about this.

We are quite familiar with the Daytona area and took advantage of many great dining choices. Our favorites are Aunt Catfishes, Monterey Grill and Betty's A1A Cafe. We also made a stop at Boston Market one night as a break from the heavy dining out meals. We dined at Down the Hatch after a couple of years break and realized why we had dropped it......very pricey compared to the quality that one receives.

This condo being on the no-drive portion of the beach is a huge plus for our family. We wish that the entire beach would go this way.

We would recommend this condo to anyone who enjoys the Daytona Beach area.

One of the best places we've stayed

We have stayed on the Atlantic side of Florida for the last 15 years, each year renting detached homes from Vero Beach and Sabastian, all the way north to Ormond Beach. These homes have become difficult to find. This year we decided to rent from the Shores Club after looking at several different condominium units. We like it quieter and less crowed, and we were not disappointed. The home was very nice and has everything you need for an enjoyable vacation. We met some regulars of the Shores, as well as some other vacationers and enjoyed the company. Each day we spent time at the beach and also at the pool. One day it rained and it was only 70* outside, but the pool was a balmy 84* and the kids spent about four hours in the pool and loved it. The home has everything you need for a comfortable stay and big enough to be able to spread out. We brought our family of 7 and there was enough of everything for our stay. The beach is on the no drive end of Daytona Beach Shores and is one of the nicest we've been too. Each morning we would walk the beach and a couple of days, we used the bikes which was wonderful. We ate in most nights, but there are some close restaurants if you want to dine out or take out. We visited Ponce Inlet as well as the Lighthouse Station which was great and even saw some porpoises. It was a perfect vacation and will most certainly return in the future. The ONLY, ONLY, negative I would attach to our stay at the Shores is the owner of unit #1107, directly above us was renovating their unit. The hammering, drilling, jack-hammering began each morning at 8:00 a.m. and some days it was so loud, you could not have a conversation with one another. Each day they were done by around 3:00 p.m. This was the only detractor to our "quiet" vacation. It was an excellent stay, therefore the 5 star rating. If you choose to stay here, you will not be disappointed.

This was the most wonderful condo we have ever stayed in. It was fully equiped with everything you would need. Great bathrooms with unbelievable showers. Great views of the beach and ocean. Owner were great to work with and email us before the trip. We will stay here again.
