My wife and I live on the upper level (2400 square feet) of our 2 level, custom built home (when we are not on vacation). We lived on a very private, 0.8 acre of land backing onto forest with a spectacular, unobstructed view of ocean and mountain.
Our home is situated on a rocky bluff, and the upper level, which we are offering to rent, (the lower level is rented out separately), is specifically designed to take advantage of the spectacular ocean and mountain views from every room through the large, triple pane windows. There is a large, (400 sq. ft.) wrap around deck with topless railing so as to not interfere with the view.
We are pet friendly and will consider your pet, but, please call.
The large living room has a woodburning fireplace for cozy evenings. (there is a woodshed on the property with a full load of dry wood), a 50 inch plasma tv, and receiver with music piped throughout the house.
There are two bedrooms; one with a queen sized bed and adjacent full bathroom with heated tile in the floor. The master bedroom has a king sized, 'Heavenly' bed from Westin Hotel, walk-in closet, Valor remote controlled gas fireplace, large ensuite bathroom, with heated floor tile, a soaker tub plus a full 5 foot shower.
The kitchen has everything one could want, from a gas top range to hot tap to a huge granite island to congregate around during meal preparation.
The media room is superb. We both enjoy watching BluRay movies on the 100 inch screen using a hi-definition JVC projector, Marantz digital pre-amplifier, Bryston amplifiers, 7 B&W surround speakers, and an SVS subwoofer; 4 lazy boy leather recliners top off an very enjoyable move experience!
The piano room has a Bosendorfer baby grand piano and a pair of tripod mounted 25 x 150 binoculars for viewing pleasure.
There is a separate laundry room with modern, front loading washer/dryer.
We have high speed internet, high definition TV PVR cable boxes, with an excellent selection of HD channels, an 'all -in-one' HP printer/copy/scan/fax machine, and free long distance calling in North America and selected European countries.
Our home is just around the corner from Linley Valley (Cottle Lake) Park with excellent walking tails through forest and by the lake.
Walking by the ocean is 3 minutes away at Neck Point Park, with trails along various coves, inlets, and beaches.
Our home is simply an excellent and comfortable way to enjoy a month or more of the Pacific Northwest beauty and scenery!

Our 0.8 acre property is very private, forested, with a 300 foot driveway from the road, and set apart from our neighbours yet it is only 5 minutes away from North Nanaimo's Woodgrove Mall. (Costco, Home Depot, The Bay, Walmart, Save-on-foods, Chapters, etc.)
