Relax by the fireplace in the living room and watch the ships cruise the Straits of Juan De Fuca while you see the airplanes land on the private grass airstrip. Enjoy a drink while you BBQ on the southern balcony with your family and friends and appreciate the spectacular view of the Olympic mountains. Watch the Eagles soar over the Dungeness Recreation Area during the day time and during the night time hours listen to the waves hits the beach from the peacefulness of the large north balcony.
Take a short 10 minute walk from the house to the Dungeness Beach and collect sea glass. Across the street you will find a bird sanctuary, as well as hiking trails down to the beach and the starting point to many of our local Bicycle Races (marathons).

The views of mountains and water here are outstanding. Very spacious, open floor plan that can accommodate 8-10 people comfortably. Wonderful gathering place inside and outside to enjoy whatever activities you can think of!
We have stayed at several VRBO in the last 5 years. This has been our best experience with a stocked home with everyones essential needs from kitchen, bathroom, bedrooms and extra linens. Bob is friendly and very helpful. The house is beautiful and the ambience is breathtaking. We stayed with our two older children and their wives and grandchildren. Our two sons loved the Golf Course that is close by. The home is equipped to handle all ages. There are fold out ottomans for little ones, games, television with dvd and a wii. The kids loved watching the small aircraft take off right next to the house. Our family will definitely stay at Bob's beautiful vacation home again.
We stayed here with our two children, ages 10 and 12, in July 2014. The house is lovely and had everything we needed. We hike in the National Park and along the beach, visited the lighthouse, and picked raspberries. My son really enjoyed watching the planes take off and come in from the house. A great rental that we would return to on another trip.
I can not praise Bob and his vacation rental enough!! My family decided to spend Thanksgiving in Sequim and we had a total blast. First off the entire home was clean and well appointed. With the kitchen fully stocked, we had all of the tools we needed to cook and enjoy our holiday. Great towels and bed linens too. The hot tub was a fun time too as it started to snow while we were soaking. I highly recommend walking around and exploring the neighborhood. There are some beautiful trails leading down to the water and the airstrip the house is situated on is lush and green. More than anything, Bob was an absolute pleasure to work with, promptly answering any questions leading up to our stay and meeting us at his home the day of to give us a walk through and show us all the home had to offer. I would HIGHLY recommend Bob and his property to a family or just a group of friends who want to explore a beautiful part of the world in comfort.
We greatly enjoyed our 3-night stay at this lovely and spacious home. Photos on VRBO match the house very well. Bob met us at the house and gave us a first-rate tour. The house was well-equipped and beds very comfortable. The King bed was the best we found in our two weeks of travels. The house was an excellent location for our trips to Olympic National Park, where we visited the Hoh Rain Forest, Hurricane Ridge, and the Sol Duc’s mineral pools. Some of us kayaked on the Elwha River. We visited neighboring towns, lavender farms, and the Dungeness Recreation Area. It was a busy time and the house a wonderful respite after long days of exploration. We highly recommend this house. Watching a small plane taking off and landing was a bonus.
We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful house in the Olympic Peninsula.
Our host was very friendly and accessible, from the beginning of the booking process until the last day of our stay. When we couldn't figure how to get the grill started, he came right over and helped us to get it going.
The house is very big, very clean and very well equipped. The kitchen had everything we needed, and we cooked every single day. Each of the three rooms has its own bathroom and walk-in closets. Plenty of fresh towels for all the rooms, extra clean sheets for the spare beds. The bathrooms even had a little basket with spare toiletries like shaving cream and toothpaste -- they really thought of everything!
The location was perfect for us, since it was close to almost everything we wanted to do and visit, super easy to get to from the highway, and extra bonus is that it is right next to a tiny air strip! Our 3yo was beside himself watching the little planes taking off and landing from the living room window.
It really exceeded our expectations and we highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.
7 ladies spent 3 nights at the home. It gave us lots of room to spread out, was tastefully decorated and stocked, was a perfect setting and impeccably clean. It was fun to watch the small planes take off and land right outside the window. The owner met us at the house upon arrival and showed us around the house and how things worked.
We spent one day in Port Townsend and one day in Port Angeles - both less than 30 minutes away. We ate at some awesome restaurants and thoroughly enjoyed trying new food experiences.
A great weekend, awesome weather and the house was everything it promised and more.
