Best location for your visit to San Francisco. Enjoy the convenience of an easy walk to Financial District, Fisherman's Wharf, Chinatown, Union Square, the theater District, or just simply take the Cable Car.
This is the ideal place to have the quintessential experience of living like a local in San Francisco. Have a nice cup of coffee in the morning with the Cable Car bell sound outside your window. Explore the many famous sites around the city, then come home to a quiet evening. The use of 2 transit cards are included to make exploring the city easier.
The flat is located on the 3rd floor of a 4 story building. The bedroom has a wonderful bay and Bay Bridge view. You will have a great night of sleep on the queen sized bed with 800 thread count sheets.
The living room is next to the bedroom, with the option of pocket doors to separate the rooms. Enjoy sitting on the comfortable couch by day and convert it into a queen sized bed by night. The living room is also furnished with a beautiful dining table and chairs, as well as a 40' flat screen.
The kitchen is stocked with cooking pots, pans and utensils, as well as basic spices.

I love San Francisco. I grew up here. I enjoy taking a bike ride or run, and eating at our great local restaurants.
Mike & Amy purchased this apartment in 2003
It is centrally located. You can walk every where, or take public transit. Our world famous cable car is just right outside of the building.
Union Square, Fisherman's Wharf, Financial District are all within an easy 20 minutes walk, or take the Cable Car.
My wife and 16 year old son stayed at this property in March for a week. It was the perfect base camp for our adventures in San Francisco. The location was ideal, it is easy to walk almost everywhere (Fisherman's Wharf/Chinatown/Nob Hill/Union Square etc.). The transit passes worked great (riding the cable cars was one of the highlights of the trip). Inside the property was comfortable, functional and worked for us. When we needed some advise on where to park our rental car, Mike provided a prompt response.
We really appreciated being able to check in early upon arrival and late upon departure. Thanks Mike and Amy so much for this, it allowed us to extend our trip!
We used both Supershuttle and MyChofer for our airport shuttles. Both were on time, clean and comparable. We ended up renting a car for a couple of days and went with City-Rent-A-Car. The prices were much better than the major companies and they had a good selection of cars. If you are willing to walk a few blocks to Nob Hill and hop on the cable car you can be there in about 30 minutes.
I would highly recommend this property to anyone headed to San Fran!
We arrived in San Francisco one day later than planned due to flight cancellations. As we were rebooking to add a day onto the end of our planned week in the city, we texted Mike and Amy to see if we could adjust our booking by one day. A quick response that that would be no problem helped a great deal with our revised vacation. When we finally arrived at the apartment it was exactly as described. It was great space for two people and in the heart of Nob Hill with great access to two cable car lines. The two transit passes were a great bonus as we travelled a great deal on the cable cars to get to Union Square, Fisherman's Wharf, restaurants, shows, and the "F" bus line back from Alcatraz night tour and to the Golden Gate Park and back. An earlier review complained of an odour in the building similar to a cat odour. Wrong! The building has a slight antique like smell when you first walk in the front doors. Not offensive at all and no odour whatsoever in the unit. And as far as the cable car sounds they are minimal and just add to the special ambiance of the location. It has a great kitchen, a separate laundry room off the kitchen, a good sized living/dining room and a spacious bedroom. The latter has that great view of the Bay Bridge every morning when you wake up. The living area does, however, need a coffee table in front of the couch. Nob Hill has lots of restaurant options and the apartment is easily within walking distance to both China Town and North Beach cuisine and shops. Don't miss the Tonga Room in the Fairmont Hotel for a retro Polynesian fun happy hour complete with indoor thunder, lightening and rain-- just around a couple of corners from the apartment. When it was time to leave the apartment Mike offered to store our luggage for a couple of hours in his main floor office until the shuttle was scheduled to pick us up. You know it is a good building when the owners live there as well.
Excellent location, centrally located to everything. Great food nearby in Chinatown and Little Italy. The 2 passes for cable car and BART bring significantly added value. Apartment is clean. We would definitely stay again. The only complaint is that the hide-a-bed is older and uncomfortable.
We stayed 10 days with my wife and our 2 children.
The apartment is clean, comfy and spacious.
Would definitely stay here again if we come back to SF.
Strongly recommend that place for the location and all the accomodations.
This one bedroom apartment near Nob Hill & Chinatown & North Beach could be terrific with just a few upgrades. For starters they need a lamp in the living room. I like to read and the lighting in that space is a ceiling light or nothing. The bed is comfortable and the bedding is good, but there are no chairs or even a small table to sit and enjoy the light and the view at the bedroom window - which is the brightest room in the apartment. The bathroom is fine, but not so much as a bar of soap or shampoo. Living room could use a small coffee table, too. Little things, they don't have to be expensive, could make this average apartment good to excellent. Neighbors upstairs were noisy and there was some construction going on while we were there. Not ideal for 4 people. The price is very good for this location. And the owners were available to help with our questions. One great perk was the public transportation cards they left for us to use. The Clipper card is good on all of the public transportation in San Francisco and we used them a lot. They are even good on all of the Cable cars. Overall, a nice place to stay.
The location was great as my husband attended a conference in Union Square and I wanted to do sightseeing on foot. The bay view was an added plus and the apartment was clean and spacious. The trolley was an added bonus as transportation cards were included. We were able to accommodate a visitor on the pull-out couch for a few days and with the room separator it was relatively private. Unfortunately there is a street light right in front of the bedroom window, as well as the trolley, and the only window treatment thin shades, so the bedroom was very bright and loud, although quiet when the trolley wasn't running (between 1 - 6 am). Black-out curtains would be a significant improvement to reduce light and noise. The full kitchen was convenient although lacking a dishwasher. There was an odd smell in the building - may have been due to cats in other apartments, maybe not recommended for people with pet allergies. All-in all we would stay there again because of the great location.
