Torremolinos Vacation Rental apartment: La Carihuela

Upon arrival I was met by the owner of the apartment at a prearranged time, and she assisted me to the apartment and exlained all the appliances and services in great detail. She was a wealth of advice on the locality, events and points of interest, local bars and restaurants.

This studio is ideally situated on the top floor (5) of the Carihuela Palace Hotel overlooking 'La Carihuela' beach, less than a minutes walk to Playa Juani. It enjoys the sun in the morning and afternoon, and a refeshing breeze in the evenings.

The apartment is sunny, bright and spacious and an ideal base for 2 or 3 persons on a self catering holiday. It is spotlessly clean, modern in decor, and comes with aircon, washing machine, cooker, fridge, shower and TV.

It is in a quiet location, with no 'night' noise and is high ennough up to allow the cool breeze to act as natural airconditioning: however in July and August you may need the airconditioning unit provided to give additional support.

The balcony is a perfect spot for enjoying a few evening drinks, reading a book or having a meal, and comands a wonderful view of the hotel gardens and the sea view of the Carihuela beach.

The mature hotel gardens with their stunning plants in bright vivid colours are well maintained, and surround 3 swimming pools and tennis courts. There is also a hotel bar and restaurant for those that dont want to stray to far.

From the lift on the ground floor there is a short cut through a door and a security gate to the nearest supermarket the 'Super Sol': which saves you a great deal of time and energy from the alternative route of walking up a very steep hill from the hotel's main entrance. This security gate is operated by a key given to you by the apartments owner.

On the other side of the road from the Super Sol is a bus stop where for 2.75 euro you can catch a bus to Mijas (45 minutes) a must for buying presents.

I had one small gripe with the owner because the shower attachment on the wall had come off: but she (Karen) had this rectified within two hours, and was a pleasure to deal with.

I would like to take this opportunity in thanking her for making my visit so enjoyable and memorable and without her advice and recommendation I would have missed so much.
