This jewel of a house is spacious and modern, yet warm and inviting. 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms with a fabulous master suite. Jacuzzi tub in master bath. There is a lovely brick patio and deck, and the sparkling pool is safety-fenced. Situated on a quiet, tree-lined street, the house is located just 50 yards from a park with playground equipment and tennis and basketball courts, and is a short 10 min drive to Old Town Pasadena and the Rose Bowl.
About Pegine Grayson

I am a philanthropic adviser for a private trust company, and a refugee from law practice. I moved to California from NJ in the 1980s to attend law school and never went back. My son attends the University of Miami and my daughter is off to Tulane in the fall of 2012. I am recently divorced, and am needing to supplement my income to cover the (staggering!) tuition costs for my kids!

I LOVE this house and maintain it meticulously! Literally everyone who walks in falls in love with it - it just has great vibes, as well as good bones, so I really enjoy inviting friends over for meals and a swim. The neighborhood is quiet and safe - lots of pride of ownership on this street-lined street.

What makes this house unique

The house is bright and spacious-feeling. The pool and patio is 100% private. 4 chaise lounges for sun-bathing, a 6-person patio table with tilting umbrella and gas-connected BBQ make for wonderful family times. The kitchen is beautiful and functional, and include an alcove with a breakfast table that overlooks the pool and patio. The master, kitchen and guest room/den all have french doors leading to the patio. Two flat-screen TVs with DVD players. Gas-starting/wood-burning fireplace in the living room. Dining room seats 6 comfortably. Although I use the third bedroom as a den, the full-size pull-out futon is incredibly comfortable.

Located in beautiful Pasadena, nestled against the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains. 10-minute drive to Santa Anita Race Track, the Rose Bowl, Huntington Gardens and Library, LA County Arboretum, Eaton Canyon, and great hiking trails. About a 40 minute drive to beaches. Wonderful shopping and dining in Old Town Pasadena. 30 minutes from Citadel Outlet Mall. Great antique stores, live theater, museums, and cinemas. Terrific children's museum (Kidspace) in town. Nearby park has basketball and tennis courts and playground equipment.

Wonderful Stay at a Lovely Home

We had the pleasure of staying in this wonderful home when visiting our daughter who recently moved to Pasadena. My parents joined my husband, college-age son, and myself, along with my daughter who ended up staying most nights. The home had such a great layout and so much space that we all had plenty of room and never felt cramped at all. We could not believe how really nice this place was...even better than the pictures in my opinion. Everything was spotless, the kitchen had everything we could possibly want (including a crockpot that the owner had pulled out for us), and the backyard patio area was peaceful. We were able to grill out several times and there was enough seating outside for all of us. The neighborhood was lovely,quiet, and convenient to everything that we wanted. The owner was so easy to work with and even made sure to let me know about an issue with her sprinkler system in case we ran into any problems (which we didn't)! I cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed our visit and working with Pegine. I only hope that someday I am able to rent this home again. It could not have been more perfect.

A Lovely Home

We were in Pasadena during the week of the Rose Bowl and enjoyed staying in this lovely home. The location was perfect, the house was immaculate, the beds comfy, and having three bathrooms was wonderful when five women were all trying to get ready at the same time each morning. The house was just a short distance from Old Town, walking distance from the end of the parade route, and just a few block from the spectacular Hunting Library and Gardens. The weather was chilly, but we enjoyed sitting around the fireplace in the evening. Moreover, the owner is very gracious. I would rent this home again.

Lovely Pasadena Home

My out of town family needed a place to stay for the week of my wedding. The description of the home was spot on and we couldn't have been more pleased. This home comfortably fit my parents, sister, brother in law, niece, and best friend. Pegine was wonderful to work with and I wouldn't hesitate to use this rental again for future family occasions.

Wonderful week in Pasadena

We rented this beautiful home while visiting Pasadena to launch our son at Caltech. There were five of us in total (three adults, two teenagers) and the house was perfect in size. There are enough places both inside and outside to sit and read/surf/relax. The internet (wi-fi) signal was excellent: 20+ Mbps down/3+ Mbps up.

Pegine is a gracious host. The kitchen is superbly stocked with utensils and is also well organized. It has inspired/shamed me enough to go through my own kitchen drawers when I returned home!

The only (very minor) fault I could find with the house was the drapes in the master bathroom. They are tie-back door panels that don't completely cover the door that is closest to the shower. Not wanting to permanently blind my step-son if he should glimpse me from his den bedroom, I took quick showers while he was staying with us the first few days :-)

The park nearby has two tennis courts and the whole neighborhood is beautiful to go on walks through. We are talking about renting the house again if my in-laws come to visit their grandson in February.

Family Reunion

Just completed a two week stay visiting family in South Pasadena with twin 6 year old grandsons and could not have had a more wonderful experience. From the outset, Pegine was pleasant, gracious and easy to deal with. The house was clean, bright, beautifully decorated and comfortable to live in. The location was perfect being within a short drive to supermarkets, movies and wonderful restaurants. The house is on a quiet street with no traffic. With a park and playground a block away and a large beautiful pool at the house, there were unlimited activities for our family. We truly felt as comfortable here as we do in our own home. We look forward to returning next summer.
