BEAVER ISLAND PRIVATE RETREAT
Escape to an unspoiled natural environment, an Island that has been protected from the influences of modernization by its unique situation of ”being an Island” surrounded by the pristine waters of Lake Michigan.
There are seven inland lakes for leisurely fishing, Bass, Pike etc. A golf course, biking, or walk on the beach, go for a swim, roast hot dogs and marshmallows on an open fire, have a spa and marvel at the stars which shine so brilliantly without the outside distraction of city lights. Visit neighboring uninhabited Islands or just lay back and do nothing. Cocktails and sunsets go well together! Good restaurants and nightlife in the village pubs is also an option.
The most convenient embarkation point is Charlevoix. Twenty minute flights are available or a leisurely two hour ferry ride on the ‘Emerald Isle’. The ‘Emerald Isle’ will also carry your automobile, if required. With this location an automobile is not a necessity. If required for sightseeing, cars, scooters bikes etc., are all available for rent. (There are five or six bikes available at the house for your use) The Island is located approximately 250 miles from Detroit and a bit more from Chicago. On arrival at the Island you will find a place that takes you back in time, slow, peaceful and beautiful. Time slows down, the most distant point is a leisurely stroll or a drive through mainly unpaved roads…the Island’s way of saying, take your time. Slow down, you’re here.
The house itself is beautifully situated on a large Island property, surrounded by towering shade trees. This contemporary two-storey home has five spacious bedrooms (sleeps 10 comfortably) and three designer bathrooms. The property is located on the back road, which offers a modicum of seclusion but still having the advantage of being within walking distance to restaurants, bars and amenities (including the ferry terminal) and of course, the beach.
You have delightful lake views from downstairs and from the large bedroom and deck upstairs.
Upstairs is self-contained in the fact that it has a kitchenette complete with fridge and breakfast facilities.
There are also spacious surrounding decks upstairs and down. The entire ground floor is tiled with Mexican Terracotta tiles imported from Saltillo Mexico, all under floor heated with a large living room and brand new kitchen fitted with stainless steel appliances and induction cook top. (cooking utensils provided) The kitchen bar seats eight and the dining room has a large rustic Mexican dining table seating twelve.
The house is fully furnished with Mexican Mission Viejo furniture and there is a new state-of-the-art LCD, TV, DVD and surround sound system. Wi-Fi Internet connection is also provided. There is a separate laundry room, (linen provided) and a large outdoor table setting which also seats twelve. For those long summer nights don’t forget there is a stainless steel outdoor BBQ. The living room/kitchen is a large open plan area with a formidable sized L-Shaped lounge opening to the surrounding wooden deck. (perfect for entertaining).
This is the ideal location for a large family group or four or five couples or a group of friends. Just bring your ‘let’s have some fun’ attitude and some food and drinks – everything else is here waiting for you.

RENTAL RATES:
SUMMER SEASON:
The “Summer Season” is the week starting the first Saturday in June through the week starting the first Saturday after Labor Day. Available for weekly or multi-weekly rentals only.
The Summer Season “WEEK” is defined as 7 days/nights: Saturday at 2:00 p.m. through the next Saturday at 10:00 a.m.
The Summer Season rental rate is: $1875.00 per week.
THE PROPERTY IS AVAILABLE YEAR ROUND:
OFF-SEASON
Do not forget Spring, the birth of summer, or fall, being exceptionally beautiful with its unbelievable colors, winter, white with snow unblemished by pollution. Ice skating, snowmobiling, sledding and snowball fights, write a book or read one. What could be better…The “Off-Season” is the weeks starting the second Saturday after Labor Day through until the beginning of the next summer season. Off-Season rate is $1275.00 for a full week (7 days/nights) during the “Off-Season.”
The house may be entered at 2:00 p.m. on the first day and must be vacated by 10:00 a.m. on the final day.
RESERVATION INSTRUCTIONS:
Step 1: Call us at (231) 448 2366, 448 2577, fax 448 2840 or email us at: info@beaverislandreality.com,with your choices for dates. When you contact us, we will let you know if the house is available for the dates of your visit and send you the Rental Agreement and Confirmation Forms
Step 2: Please carefully read the Rental Agreement and Rental Confirmation. Then sign the Rental Confirmation form to indicate that you have read and you agree to the terms of the Rental Agreement and Confirmation.
Step 3: Fill out the reservation information on the Rental Confirmation form as completely as possible.
Step 4: To confirm your reservation we require a 50% deposit of the Rental Rate. We cannot hold your reservation more than 10 days without your deposit. The BALANCE of your rental rate is PAYABLE IN FULL FOUR WEEKS PRIOR TO OCCUPANCY to: Beaver Island Reality.
Step 5: Make your check payable to Beaver Island Reality. Then mail the signed and completed Rental Confirmation form and your deposit check to Beaver Island Reality, 26205 Main Street, Beaver Island Michigan 49782.
IMPORTANT: If Renter CANCELS this Rental Agreement less than 120 days prior to the agreed-upon rental commencement date, then Renter agrees that the Reservation Deposit and any Security Deposit held by Owner shall be retained by Owner as compensation for the period of time which the rental unit has been withheld from the rental market, and the Reservation Deposit Fee and/or Security Deposit shall not be refunded. A $300 Security Deposit is required and will be explained in the Rental Agreement and Confirmation form.
