Week in the mountains - super ski townhouse
Extremely comfortable and very well furnished and decorated luxury town house, with many truly comfortable features, really didnt want to go out in the evenings as it was so comfortable. Easy to feel at home. Space for everyone. Really Good things: location just a 2 minute drive from canyon lodge ( wouldn't fancy the walk up the hill), indoor parking, fab open plan design both upstairs and downstairs, large and plentiful comfortable seating, big family dining table and breakfast bar, really comformtable beds with great quality duvets and bedding, nice bathrooms and steam shower a nice touch after big day skiing, and every bedroom has a bathroom, no congestion happy family. Well appointed kitchen with lots of pans, crockery, ovenwear and glasses - like to eat at home as a family and the house really lent itself to that. A luxury and practical layout, lots of pegs to hang ski coats, practical stone floor entry way to keep Outdoor footwear in the warm without messing up the rest of the house. Small nice touches: plenty trash bags for the week, basic essentials for cleaning, selection of board games for evening entertainment, surround sound for music in the evenings, hooray for the laundry, good to have a BBQ (but not cleaned in some time), Small Niggles: no kettle in the kitchen for tea or hot water, no vent system over the gas hob so cooking smells fill the house. No vacuum or even a dustpan and brush around to sweep up during the week. And no instructions on how to run a few things in the house such as thermostats, TV/DVD, downstairs fireplace: warm spring ski weather meant the house was just too hot, took a couple of days to figure out how to turn the heating off so night time not unbearably hot, other than opening all windows. Owner very easy to deal with (VRBO details imply can pay by credit card, but in fact facility no available, had to pay by international wire transfer) and straightforward booking process.
