House, 3 Bedrooms + Other (See Description), 3.5+ Baths, (Sleeps 6-10)

Located on the beautiful shoreline of Lake Huron, we welcome you to our very comfortable and relaxing lake house. During your stay, you will experience unbelievable sunrises, miles of sugary sand beach to walk, crystal clear water for swimming or kayaking, bonfires and stargazing at night.

Our lake house has sleeping accommodations for six people and includes three bedrooms, three and a half baths (each bedroom has their own private full bath). Each bedroom can be converted from a king size bed to two twin beds per your preference. Two of the bedrooms are on the second floor with a balcony that overlooks Lake Huron. The third, a rustic knotty pine bedroom, is located off the kitchen on the first floor. We also have a studio in our home that can be used for fitness activities, yoga, stretching, dancing in the evening or a fun game of Wii or Wii dance! We have a bonfire pit w/wood, two kayaks, and gas grill for your use. There is some great biking in the area, so bring your bikes. We have a tandem on site that you can use as well.

All kitchen supplies and bedding are included. Please remember to bring your own towels (including lots of beach towels).

We also offer healthy retreats at our beautiful lake house throughout the year. We call it Expressions of Health. During your stay, each individual in your group will participate in three wellness services and two classes and as our guests you will enjoy the full use of our lake house. Our healthy retreat price is just $250/per person for up to three nights! Services include Reiki, Reflexology, and Massage and classes to choose from include Yoga, Yoga/Pilates Mix, Golf Conditioning, Bootcamp, and Strength with Balls/Bands.

About Martha or Jeff Gottlieb

Martha grew up in the Birmingham/Bloomfield, MI area and spent her summers at the 'cabin' (now our Lake House) since she was a child. Jeff grew up in the New Jersey area and lived in California for 15 years. Martha and Jeff met in California and moved back to Michigan to be closer to family and experience the change of seasons that was missing in CA.

Why Martha or Jeff Gottlieb chose Oscoda

Martha has been coming to Oscoda since she was born. Martha's grandparents originally built a small 2 bedroom 1 bath cabin as an extra space (to accommodate all the children and grandchildren) to the log cabin they owned next door. This small cabin was given to Martha's mother when her mom passed away. When Martha's mom passed away, Martha and Jeff purchased the property from Martha's siblings. Martha and Jeff renovated the cabin to make it year round and expanded to accommodate family and friends.

What makes this house unique

Unbelievable sunrises, miles of beautiful beaches to walk and the sound of Lake Huron from the house and bedrooms. It is just amazingly beautiful here. The east side of Northern, MI is truly a well kept secret.

Located on the beautiful shoreline of Lake Huron, Oscoda sits between Alpena and Tawas. Some highlights include visiting Lumberman's Monument, Iargo Springs, and the AuSable Paddle boat. Northeast Michigan has quite a few art fairs, a blues festival, triathlons and other activities. Visit the Tawas, Oscoda, and Harrisvile Chamber websites for details. Of course Mackinac Island as well. . . it's only about 2 hours from here!

A Wonderful Retreat on the Sunrise Side of Michigan

Such a beautiful place located right on Lake Huron on the Sunrise side of Michigan. From the Yoga to the Reike and Reflexology it was a wonderful experience! Martha & Jeff are great hosts!

I've stayed at this property several times over the years and have always had a great experience. Martha and Jeff are the ideal hosts and unusually sensitive to the needs of their guests. I highly recommend taking advantage of their healthy retreat services--you won't find better anywhere. They owners will work with you to tailor your ideal retreat. The house is in a lovely, quiet location with plenty of beach. There is an aura of calm the minute you walk in. Lots of sunlight, lots of room, but a cozy atmosphere. Impeccably clean and well-maintained. Tons of stuff to do in the area, depending on the types of activities you enjoy. The hosts will go out of their way to help you have the best VRBO experience ever. Every time I have out of state guests, I try to plan a trip to this property to show off Michigan's natural beauty and hospitality.

Fun Fall Weekend

What a great place to stay and enjoy the lake and fall colors! The Gottliebs are wonderful and they make you feel so welcome. Our room was very comfortable and clean. We absolutely loved the view. Spent lots of time outdoors, walking on the never ending sandy beach, went bike riding, and hiked in the woods. We highly recommend staying here!

Wonderful Lake Home

This is a beautiful home with privacy but located just a few minutes away from stores and other activities. The home is just spectacular! Very large with private bedrooms and bathrooms. It is beautifully decorated. The home is spotless and has all you need for your stay. The views from the home are breathtaking. Sunrises are incredible! The beach and lake are the best! You can walk for miles on sandy beach or just sit and enjoy looking out at the beautiful blue waters of Lake Huron. We have stayed here many times and in every season and always have a wonderful relaxing time. Would recommend it to anyone looking for a great vacation rental in Michigan.
