Keywords: Clean, bright, newly renovated two bedroom suite in heritage home in commercial drive neighborhood. Close to transportation, shopping, restaurants. Many amenities, including in-suite laundry, gas fireplace and barbeque, deck, soaker tub.

Beverly purchased this apartment in 1999
The Commercial Drive neighbourhood is centrally located with the feel of a small community. It is a foodie heaven, has one of Vancouver's oldest coffee shops, and buzzes with a global vibe. We love living in this neighbourhood!
Our home is a heritage house that has been completely renovated in the style of urban industrial and is packed with modern amenities, lots of art and books, antique furniture and bright open spaces.
My family (me, my husband, our newborn, and my mother-in-law) thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The apartment is lovely, comfortable, and well-appointed. Better yet, it's situated just 3 blocks from Commercial Drive, which - in my opinion - is the most walk-able and delicious neighborhood in Vancouver. The charming, helpful owners keep the living room well-stocked with travel-themed books, and we give them oodles of bonus points for having a first edition (1982!) Lonely Planet Guide to India. Rare for a VRBO, the kitchen is both beautiful and quite functional. So, once we settled into a routine with our newborn, it was a treat to switch from take-out to shopping for ingredients on the Drive and coming "home" to a primo space to cook meals. We'd consider ourselves lucky to stay here again!
Our family enjoyed a very comfortable and relaxed extended stay in this suite. Bev and Craig went out of their way to accommodate us during this time to ensure that we had what we needed, with a generous and kind spirit. We would strongly recommend this high quality suite to travelers new to Vancouver or to families seeking temporary accommodation.
My family and I recently relocated to Vancouver from Los Angeles and Craig and Bev's fantastic loft served as homebase while we looked for a place of our own. Everything was exactly as pictured and described. The loft was immaculate and spacious enough for a family of three plus our gigantic Labrador Retriever.. The kitchen was wonderfully outfitted with every appliance one could possibly need for preparing a simple repast or a gourmet meal. The loft is located on a quiet part of the street but a 5-7 minute walk brings you right to the heart of Commercial Drive, filled with wonderful shops, bars, restaurants and markets. There are also several parks nearby for kids and pets. I truly cannot think of a better location for discovering the vibrancy and diversity of Vancouver or a more convenient or relaxing place to have stayed than Craig and Bev's, who were kindest and most accommodating of hosts. They even left fresh vegetables from their garden on our doorstep! I plan on recommending the loft to family and friends when they come to visit us in Canada!
My family had a wonderful stay in this lovely rental. Located within walking distance to Commercial Drive and the Sky Train it took no time at all to get to downtown. Beverly was very helpful and we would reccommend this rental to anyone.
We arrived with great directions from Whistler and were warmly welcomed to Vancouver!
The apartment was tastefully and newly decorated and with a pint of milk provided a nice cup of tea was enjoyed on the balcony before we headed out and explored the city.
The front and back gardens were a sight to enjoy with a mix of planting from flowers through to herbs and vegetables.
Our overall experience using VRBO was great. This is the first time we tried this type of accommodation, and we will certainly use it again in future travels.
The unit is defintely as advertised, and better in person. The first impression was lovely, the plantings in the front were welcoming. The unit itself was neat and tidy and more than adequate room for us. We were able to use the kitchen without too much difficutly (metric everyting). The options to use WiFi is surely a bonus for those who use it.. The back balcony was a great spot to read, have a cup of coffee, make plans for the day, and watch the activities in the back yard gardens.
The location, in "The Drive" neighborhood was terrific. Close to just about everything imaginable in minutes. Great dining from every culture imaginable, little markets with fruit from all over BC, cheeses, meats, fish, unique clothing stores, parks, and more all within easy walking distance. The morning papers were just a few blocks away, and the walk up and back allowed for so many front yards to show off thier plantings. The neightborhood papers also gave lots of information on local happenings.
The nearby main roads make travel all over Vancouver very easy. Getting out of town to areas like Grouse Mountain, Whistler, and Capillano was easy, as were trips to Grandville Island, Stanley Park, etc.
Our hosts were friendly, and helpful for any questions we had. It was especially nice that they knew where we are from and had been to our town in the past - a nice circular connections. We would recommend this unit and VRBO to any visitors. The overall listings we had to choose from had something for everyone, size and price. The hardest part is making a decision from so many listing. We were very happy with our choice.
