The apartment is on the first floor (almost in contact with the lake) luminous, one-bedroom/one-bath apartment. It's situated in an enchanting 19th century building, which was once a hotel. Situated on the lakeside road -- running along the western shore of Lake Como, the Lario Apartment has a spacious open-plan living area (with a comfortable, double sofa-bed) , king size bed in the bedroom and a beautiful stainless steel kitchen and dining area. When seated in this area all you can see is water from the three window.
The apartment is in a beautiful gated building with private underground parking. Just cross the road and you are on the lake. Close to Como city and Cernobbio, a boat ride away from bellagio, convenient for Milan airports, it is ideal for a holiday, short break or business trip.

All travel information will be provided to guests booking the apartment and there is a welcome book (provided in the apartment) with the local tours and suggested walking itineraries in the area, local information and suggested boat trips, boat and bus timetables, recommended restaurants and interesting local traditions. We can also provide an excellent, reduced rate transfer service to and from airports and rail stations, in luxury Mercedes cars and English speaking drivers.
Famous neighbours : It is 10 minutes walk away from the 'Villa Oleandra' the villa acquired from the Heinz family by George Clooney, and George has been spotted all along the lake, often mixing with the local people. The Villa Fontanella, once inhabited by Gianni Versacci is 10 minutes drive away. Many Italian film stars, singers and football players have also chosen beautiful Lake Como as their home or holiday home.

In Tremezzo, just 20 minutes drive away, is the Villa carlotta with it's very important botanical gardens and in Lenno, the Villa balbianello, I really recommend a visit there, ask me for details, as I am a qualified guide. the villa was used for lots of films, such as 'A month by the lake', Star wars, the return of the clones, and the latest, Casino Royale, Swirzerland is just across the mountains and Lake Lugano, although very different, is very beautiful and offers walks and shopping. St. Moritz, the jet set resort is a few hours north of the lake and I can offer you the possibility to ride on the Bernina express train, across glaciers to enjoy breathtaking views.
Lake Como, surrounded by mountains, hills valleys and cities of art, has much to offer. It is situated in one of the most economically and industrially important regions in Northern Italy, nestled between Lake Maggiore and Lake Garda, right on the Swiss boarder, framed by the majesty of the alps, where different cultures have merged over the centuries to form it’s unique and inimitable charm.
While spending a holiday on Lake Como, you will have the chance to see much more than you would expect.
You could explore its breathtaking surroundings, beautiful villas and picturesque village.
Visit the less well known lakes, Orta and Lake Lugano.
You could visit the nearby cities, full of history and culture, such as Milan, Bergamo and of course Como,Bellagio, Menaggio, Tremezzo and Lenno and Villa Balbianello and Villa Carlotta. Visit Switzerland and pay a visit to Campione D’Italia and its casino. The smaller unknown villages of lake Como are full of character and hold a warm welcome.
