Yep, our week at the beach bungalow was just what the doctor ordered. Easy to take. Harder to leave. Can't wait to come back.

Great For Family With Young Kids

  • 4 of 5

We spent two enjoyable weeks in the South Okanagan Beach Bungalow. The beach was perfect for our 8 and 6 year old. Sand for sandcastles galore and shallow enough that the kids could walk out forever and still only be up to their waist. We rented kids kayaks on the beach for a very reasonable $5 per hour. The bungalow was close enough to the beach that we had no problem loading up the inflatable boat with towels, chairs, cooler and sand toys and walking the 5 minutes. The spray park was fun and the playground excellent. Penticton was a quick 15 minute drive down Eastside Road for mini golf on the cloudy days. Of course a little adult time at the many wineries was also enjoyed. There is no TV service but the WiFi was excellent. We made use of it on our two rainy days to watch some Netflix. Otherwise we were pleased to be off the grid. The bungalow is modest but suited us well as we don't need granite counters and stainless steel on vacation. It is well maintained but definitely 1950's era. It was large enough for our family of four and grandma and grandpa without feeling crowded. The large backyard provided additional play space for frisbee or football tossing. Diana was fantastic at answering all questions and making us feel comfortable in our selection. Definitely consider this well priced option for your vacation.

Owner's Response: [Bungalow has TV(no cable)+VCR+DVD+WiFi, cheers] So nice to have your family stay here with us - and glad you took advantage of both the water sport rentals, and the unplugged, laid-back, beach way of life. What a treat to have you, and we so hope your remaining summer was fantastic too.

Ok falls

Spent a week with the family( 2 adults, 2 young kids ). Great spot. The close beach is great for pre-swimmers as the water is very shallow for a long ways ( knee high ). Would for sure recommend to friends and family

Kick Back in the Okanagan at this Adorable Beach Bungalow!!

  • 4 of 5

Spent a terrific week with family at this great bungalow 1 1/2 blocks to beach. This home away from home was comfortable with everything you would need. The place was in a fabulous location to hangout at the beach, jump off the tressle bridge into the warm Skaha lake and also to spend time exploring many of the amazing wineries in the area!!! Would recommend having lunch at Liquidity winery .. superb food and spectacular views. Amazing scenery and delightful tastings were had at many of the local wineries!! Penticton, Naramata and Summerland were also great day excursions with plenty to do, see and taste!! My husband competed in the Penticton GranFondo bike race... great event with lots happening that weekend in Penticton. Would recommend the Saturday street market in Penticton. The Penticton channel float was a huge hit with the boys. Definitely would recommend Diana's place for a laid back retreat!! Barbecues and wine on the back patio were a great way to end every day ...what's not to like!! Thanks Diana for sharing your bungalow with us!!

Great Location all the way

  • 5 of 5

Nice bungalow perfectly located one-and-a-half blocks to volleyball nets and sandy beaches. Easy, short jaunts up to the parking lot to rock climb Skaha Bluffs. We took loads of pictures wherever we went. And of course the Corkscrew Drive world class wineries of OK Falls – Blue Mountain, Painted Rock, Meyer Family, Wild Goose, Blasted Church, See Ya Later, too many to list. We took advantage of how laid-back it all is, really enjoyed BBQ terrace, an overall great beach bungalow at a great rate! – and it really beat staying at a hotel. We recommend this to our co-workers, club members, really anyone making trips to the region.

Miss It Already!

  • 5 of 5

What a great bungalow. We were there with my husband and our 2 teens. Very comfortable. We also went to the lake everyday, plus the boys couldn’t stay away from their favourite Kettle Valley lake jump spot. They also said they liked the Spud Truck beach food. As for us, we unwound and visited the wineries, etc. It was a perfect accommodation for our family. The bungalow had everything we needed and plenty of room for all of us. We'll definitely be returning to this property again! We thank Diana and her family for everything and making it so easy to rent their property for our unforgettable vacation.
