The Owner purchased this cabin in 2011
Greenwater is the perfect getaway being only 90 minutes from Seattle. We love the short drive up to Crystal Mtn Resort and being minutes for Mt Rainier National Park. Bob's Cabin (named after long-time resident Bob Osgood) is a charming, cozy cabin with ample room for entertaining friends and family.
Whether relaxing in the hot tub after a day skiing or hiking, there is nothing more enjoyable than listening to the sounds of the river from the deck at Bob's Cabin. Oftentimes Elk will wander through the property in the early morning of evening.
Walk down peaceful Lumpy Lane to Wapiti Woolies for your morning latte or up to the historic Naches Tavern for a beer and burger.
Whether you are looking for dramatic scenery on an all-day hike or a easy afternoon walk, all are available within minutes of Greenwater.
We stayed at Bob’s cabin over the weekend just a few weeks ago. Brought out of town guests to Mt. Rainier for some hiking and relaxation. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and hope to return. The cabin is homey and equipped with everything you need for a weekend or a few days away. The hot tub overlooking the river is a highlight and the kitchen has everything you need for basic meal prep. Love how organized the owners are too with the whole “welcome to the cabin” packet with a list of everything included. Makes packing/prep super easy. Only gripe of the weekend was the pluming (shower, bathroom) which backed up a few hours after we arrived HOWEVER, the owner was incredibly responsive and took the extra steps to be sure our experience was a positive one. We hope to return this winter as the cabin would be a great jumping off point for a local winter getaway at Crystal Mountain.
Was looking for a private, cozy place in the mountains, yet close enough to a town for amenities. Bobs Cozy Cabin provided just that. Didn't have perfect weather, SO really enjoyed the hot tub, and the nice selection of movies! Hiked one day, boots got soaked! Was nice on a cool summer eve to be able to warm ourselves and dry our boots by the fireplace. Home away from home, was able to make muffins with the treasure of Huckleberry/Blueberry's found on the hike. The antique stove worked perfectly!
Thank you for a great stay.
This was my first visit to Seattle. I so enjoyed our time at Bob's Cozy Cabin. It is as described....wonderful. Super cute and very handy to Mt. Rainer. The little details thought out were appreciated like the portable lanterns by each bed for a late night run to the bathroom...the hair dryer in the bathroom...the clothes line on the deck. We were so blessed to have stayed there. Note: If you stay at Bob's cabin be sure to walk into the Federal Forest on the old logging road. It is so beautiful. The neighbor's dog is an excellent guide and very cheap...just a pet or two! He'll show you how to get down to the river too.
My husband and I stayed at Bob's Cabin for a weekend retreat with the hope of seeing some of Mt. Rainier National Park. Little did we know, the park entrance near the cabin doesn't open until July 4th (our fault for not looking into it). This turned out to be a blessing because we just relaxed and enjoyed the quiet of the cabin. The highlights were the hot tub on the river and the herd of elk we saw in the front yard. The sounds/view of the river were perfect for relaxation and the cabin was fully stocked with anything we may have needed: board games, hair dryer, plenty of towels, grill and kitchen supplies. We both agreed we'd be back to Bob's Cabin. Thank you Michael and Lynn for sharing your cabin with us!
This cabin is comfortable and well situated for hiking or skiing at Crystal Mountain. Not much privacy in the sleeping quarters but very comfortable. The hot tub is the star, and the view is magnificent. Mike was SO responsive with questions that arose. It was clean and very well-maintained.
Such a great getaway for a weekend. Amazingly close to Seattle yet still far enough out to feel as though your an eternity away. Perfect place for relaxation. Cabin is supplied with all your needs from towels to spoons.
