Near beach on West Coast - a fantastic property with pool - everything for your holiday in Barbados. A two bedroom house and two apartments of a high standard, including free wireless internet cable TV, DVD, radio/CD, telephone. Set in tropical paradise of fruit trees and beautiful foliage and flowers.. The house has two bedrooms and two bathrooms, lounge with patio.....kitchen leading to garden room (for dining) overlooking the pool. The apartments are large, spacious and airy, one on the ground floor and one on 1st floor - where you can view the Sunset. They have large bathrooms/cum dressing rooms and full kitchens and their own private patios. All the facilities of the hose are replicated in the apartments. Located just a few minutes away from the white sandy beaches of the West Coast and also within minutes of all the shops, bars and restaurants of the area.

A two bedroomed, two bathroom house with large kitchen which is fully equipped, inside/outside Dining Deck which leads to pool. The lounge has a patio leading off which also leads to the pool area. We have cable TV, telephone, free wireless internet. The property is fully fenced and private with a front garden which has the pool and deck and outside shower as well as a secluded back garden for private sunbathing and relaxation. Situated at the end of a short cul de sac with a park that gives access to the Shops, Restaurants and the Beach, so we suffer no traffic noise and yet are only a few minutes walk to everything. We have maid service three times weekly and a laundry room available for guests. Also available to our guests is a private beach club with pool and restaurant situated on the beach where a l5$ discount on all items of food and drink can be obtained on production of our Club Card. as well as various discounts at local businesses.

Plumbago Villa and apartments are located on the West Coast of Barbados at Sunset Crest, Holetown - next door to the famous Sandy Lane Resort - . Beautiful beaches are just a stones throw away from the property as are all the amenities of the area, including golf, tennis, horse riding, diving and every known watersport. There are lots of shops and supermarket, cafes, bars and restaurants of every description which cater for all budgets. In February we have the Holetown Festival which runs for a week and brings lots of cultural and musical events and is something not to be missed.

  • The en suite bathroom has a large mirror with light over and a vanity that runs the length of the bathroom for all your cosmetics, lotions etc. made of laminated onyx and this also includes the bathroom wash basin. the shower is a good size with hose type shower fitting. the second bathroom is centrally located so useful for any guests that might want to use it - it has a very large shower that is made so that it can also convert to a bath. The mirror is large with lights over and also has the vanity of cultured onyx that runs the length of the bathroom and gives plenty of room for cosmetics etc.. Both bathrooms have good quality tiles and fixtures and fittings.....are bright and cheerful !!

Notes: The pool is central to this property and is for the exclusive use of guests and we have found that there is no problem with the sharing by our guests, as they get to know each other and it is a favourite spot for hanging out, having a chat or a sundowner - or if you dont want to be sociable, you have your own private patio or the back garden . The pool is about twenty eight feet long and l5 foot wide at its widest point - it is amoeba shaped with a handrail and also a ladder. the deep end is 5 foot six inches deep and the shallow end 3 foot deep. It is well maintained and always sparklingly clean - when the sun is out the finish of diamond brite which has been used on the pool makes it look like the sea when the sun is out and it is a cloudless sky....very inviting. There are a table and chairs on the lower deck for any guests in the apartments and the Villa has the Dining Deck overlooking the pool as well as a small patio.

Sunset Crest: Plumbago Villa and apartments are located in a most sought after area of the West Coast of Barbados. the beaches of the West Coast are within minutes walk and the area abounds with activities available - including two world class golf courses, tennis courts, horse riding, every water sport imaginable and lots of shops, restaurants and bars. We are in a quiet location, without traffic noise - and a parkland area next door to the property gives access to all the above without having to run the gauntlet of the traffic - of which, of late, there is a lot in Barbados. You can relax by the pool and do nothing....its up to you. We also have a Beach Cub with its own pool which you can also use if you want to be right by the beach - restaurant there too and a l5% discount for all drinks and meals.

My partner and I stayed in the upper apartment in May 2008. The apartment was lovely and very clean and contained everything that you would want.

The pool was very well used and the grounds kept to a very high standard.

The location is very good as you can walk to the shopping centre, supernarket, beach and bars.

I love this side of Barbados and it's an area I have returned to several times.

Since returning to the UK I have told everyone who asks about going to Barbados to look at renting the villa or apartments.

Great location

We have stayed at this property in July of 2008. Although generally it is nice to stay at a different location when returning to a vacation spot, this property was so good; on a return trip in July 2009 we chose to stay here again. We stayed in the apartment in 2008 and the two bedroom villa in 2009. This is similar to a private home in a residential area of Sunset Crest in St. James. Several beaches, grocery store/shopping/restaurants were mere minutes away on foot. Since each unit comes with a microwave, stove, fridge, coffee maker, blender you can chose to cook yourself or go out to the restaurants which are minutes away. The Beach House restaurant is great for drinks. It is on the beach with comfy furniture to enjoy the ocean view. A great morning breakfast place is the Flindt Patisserie & Bistro. The beach were you can go swimming with the turtles is nearby. A golf course is about an 8 - 10 minute walk away and is lovely for early morning peaceful walks on the course were you can see green monkeys in the trees. The drive to Bridgetown is about 25 minutes or so. But really the shopping in Holetown where this property is located has everything that is in Bridgetown. The suites were clean and spacious. We loved the outdoor furniture and having a private pool was fantastic. If you like to spend your vacation without the crowds this is for you. Car rentals are readily available and they will deliver your car to you free of charge. We used MAH Rentals who delivered a SUV to us the same morning we called. They were able to sell the required visitor's driving permit for us saving a trip to the local police station. The owner, Diane, has suggested going to the Friday night fish fry. We chose to go to the fish fry in Oistins and it was a treat. It starts at 7 ish and has free parking. It does get busy, so I would say get there a bit early and you shouldn't have a problem parking. The owners are friendly and customer service was excellent. The owners clearly care about this property as the property was well maintained.

great stay in barbados

We arrived late but had a great welcome from the owner who let us settle in and told us where to buy groceries etc . the property is lovely with the most gorgeous pool and dining area and although it is only a 5 minute walk from the beach, it is very quiet at the end of a cul de sac. The maid, janice, was also fantastic and very friendly and was willing to give us details of attractions that we wanted to visit. All in all, diane, the owner, was very non-intrusive and the whole ambience was what you expect from the Caribbean.
