These three spacious new holiday homes are situated in picturesque Allihies Village, West Cork, on the beautiful Beara Peninsula. 1 and 2 Strand View have panoramic, uninterrupted views of the beach at Ballydonegan Bay and the expanse of the Atlantic Ocean. They have large balcony areas which ensure visitors can take full advantage of the spectacular summer sunsets. 3 Strand View, on the other side of the village street, has a large patio area, mountain and sea views. Each home sleeps six. Upstairs comprises three bedrooms (master en-suite), bathroom with bath and shower, and in No 1 and 2, underfloor heating in bathrooms and tv/dvd player in one bedroom. Downstairs features large kitchen/dining room, (dishwasher, washing machine, dryer), lounge (leather suite and satellite tv, dvd),WC and hallway. Timber floors throughout. Oil fired and electric heating. Open fire in No 1 and 2, electric in 3. Outside space with ample outdoor seating. Linen and towels, cot and high-chair provided.

This spacious three bedroom holiday home is in Allihies Village, a colourful village nestled at the base of the Caha mountains at the tip of the ruggedly beautiful, unspoilt Beara Peninsula, West Cork. This holiday home has three bedrooms, one of which has an en-suite shower room. Upstairs there is a second bedroom with three beds, a third bedroom with one single bed and a fully tiled bathroom with bath and shower. The bedrooms are tastefully decorated and furnished to a high standard. Downstairs there is a large lounge featuring an electric fire, leather suite with one recliner, tv with satellite channels and dvd player. The separate fitted kitchen and dining area has a large fridge-freezer, dishwasher, microwave, double oven, and electric coffee percolator. In the utility room is a washing machine and dryer and there is a downstairs w.c. Double doors lead from the dining area to a spacious secluded patio paved with Liscannor slate. Large picnic table and seating provided.

Allihies is a small coastal village situated at the western end of the Beara Peninsula, West Cork. The area has a magnificent rugged beauty. The village itself s renowned for its brightly painted houses. The mountains around Allihies and the surrounding countryside provide a wide selection of mapped walking routes. 'The Strand', the lovely sandy beach at Ballydonegan bay, is the perfect place to swim and sunbathe. There is a professional dive school in the village. Horse riding, shore angling, golf, and tennis are other local options. The village boasts three pubs which regularly feature traditional music sessions. There are three restaurants. Ireland's only cable car is nearby, linking Dursey Island to the mainland. A trip by ferry to nearby Bere Island makes a good day out. For those who wish to use Allihies as a base, many towns such as Kenmare, Killarney, Glengarriff, Bantry and Clonakilty are easily accessible on day-trips. Dzogchen Beara is only 7 km from Allihies Village.

  • Bank Holiday weekends (minimum stay 3 nights), are charged at the rate of €350 per 3 night stay. Additional nights are per mid-week nightly rate for that rental period. Bank Holiday weekend in August is not available.

Units used charged at cost price i.e. standard rate charged by supplier to owner. Cost per unit is clearly indicated in information pack in the holiday home.

Notes: There is a well equipped children's playground in the village and the local sandy beach is popular for swimming. The village has a fascinating mine museum, officially opened in 2007 by Ireland's President, Mary McAleese. Adjacent to the museum is a cafe where a variety of beverages and snacks can be enjoyed throughout the day. O'Neill's Bar and Restaurant serves a wide range of bar food all day and has a separate restaurant, 'Pluais Umha', which serves delicious evening meals. Local fish dishes feature prominently on its extensive a-la-carte menu. Traditional music and ballad sessions feature regularly in the three village pubs and visitors are always welcome to join in. The village has a post office and a mini-supermarket which sells fresh bread daily. It also has a delicatessen counter, a wine section, bureau de change and internet access points. Babysitting services can be arranged locally. Pony-trekking and bicycle hire are available in nearby Eyeries Village.
