Start the day watching dolphins play as you enjoy breakfast and coffee from your private 5th floor balcony. Remodeled 1 BR/1 BA condo w/ Captain’s bunks. Clean, nicely furnished, well-stocked, and tastefully decorated. Sofa sleeper has a queen-sized Memory Foam mattress making for a comfortable night’s sleep. You will not feel any bars or springs. Washer and dryer in the condo.

BRAND NEW 42'' 1080p wall mount flat screen TV in LR and 26'' flat in MBR with DVD Player. An Ipod docking station allows you to charge your Iphone and enjoy your favorite music while sipping a favorite wine or adult beverage. View the white, sandy beaches and pristine waters of the Gulf of Mexico from the bar height patio furniture. No standing to see over the hand rail.

Fitness facility, brand new charcoal BBQ grills (installed 2013), seasonally heated swimming pool, cable, WiFi (Wireless Internet), local calls, and parking for up to two vehicles all provided free to our guests.

Perdido Skye is located between Gulf Shores and Pensacola in Perdido Key. The facilities are well-kept, and a professional realty management company (1/3 of a mile from the condo) is on call 24/7 in the unlikely event that any maintenance issue would arise. A KABA lock is installed at the entrance of the unit, so a code will be provided to you for the duration of your stay. NO KEYS KEEP TRACK OF OR LOSE AT THE BEACH!!!

Dining, drinks, and shops are located across the street in a new shopping center, and there are several other restaurants just minutes from the unit. Grocery stores are less than one mile away, and there is a Wal-Mart and several golf courses nearby.

Quite simply, everything you need to facilitate a wonderful and well-deserved vacation at an affordable price.

About Gene and Karen LeJeune

Golfing, fishing, and trips to the beach top out the list of favorite things to do. We have been dreaming of owning a 2nd home on the beach for years, and the dream became reality in 2012. Sharing this piece of paradise with our kids and future grand kids, (we hope), is something that we plan to do for many years to come. I hope that you enjoy Perdido Key as much as we do.

Perdido Key is such a great area. Family oriented and not overcrowded. We have been coming to the beach for nearly 30 years, and Perdido Key is our favorite destination. Great restaurants like the Shrimp Basket, Lillian's Pizza, Hub Stacey's, Oyster Bar, O'Chopper's Almost Irish Pub (Orange Beach), and others offer great food at a great price and are very close to the condo. There are also several grocery stores, gas stations, golf courses, and shops very close, and in many cases, easy walking distance. Walmart and Target are less than seven miles north on Highway 22 (Sorrento Road) making for a short drive for anything that we need.

Owning a direct gulf front condo is a HUGE plus, as we really enjoy sitting on the balcony in the morning having coffee and breakfast or taking a morning walk talking to local fishermen or just watching the sunrise. It's also very nice to not have to drive or cross a street to be on the beach. The sound of crashing waves is great medicine to calm the soul.

Perdido Key (or Lost Key) is a great destination with beautiful waters and white, pristine beaches. We hope that you will come to learn why we enjoy this area so much. It is our little piece of paradise.

What makes this condo unique

We really enjoy the easy access to restaurants, shopping, and golf. Being directly on the Gulf of Mexico is GREAT. No road to cross or cars to drive to get to the beach, and the pool is seasonally heated. In addition, there are men's and women's bathrooms by the pool which is really convenient.

The view from our private 5th floor balcony is awesome, and we really enjoy the bar height patio furniture because the balcony handrail does not block the view. If we don't want to take the elevator, it's not bad at all taking the stairs. The outlet mall in Foley or entertainment in Gulf Shores is very convenient. We also visit the Wharf in Orange Beach. There are live concerts, a movie theater, many restaurants, and shopping. In short, we are close enough to everything, but far enough away to escape the crowds.

I've just completed a wonderful 5-week vacation in this unit. To watch the sun rise and set from the balcony is an experience you won't soon forget. The area has plenty of places to eat and/or have a cocktail and the locals are very friendly. I highly recommend this property for singles or families looking to forget all your troubles and enjoy the good life.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Tourists without a Car, People with Disabilities, Romantic Getaway

Enjoyable Stay

My family and I had a very enjoyable stay. Early October weather is perfect - cool and night and warm in the afternoons. The condo was clean and comfortable. Having a toddler, we actually liked having carpet in the living room area. Not sure how well it will hold up with all the sand, but seemed clean enough for us. We traveled with 2 other families who also stayed in Perdido Skye. Their condos were also very nice, but I preferred our unit to theirs. The beach access is great and the area is much less crowded than other areas we've stayed - i.e. Orange Beach, Destin, etc. Fall prices are much easier for the budget. My only complaint/wish - I wish the grills were on the beach side of the building and had some picnic tables nearby. The grills are located on the front of the building next to the trash dumpster. Overall - great experience and a definite return location for our family. Thanks!

There is a HOA meeting coming up next month, and I am planning to discuss purchasing or refurbishing the existing BBQ pits and purchasing a picnic table or two for the area. Like you, I wish that BBQ pits were on the beach side. Perhaps that's a project to come in the future.?. Again, thank you again for the great compliments on our condo. We'll be visiting in the next week or so and look forward to the same outstanding October weather that you were able to enjoy. Hope to hear from you in the near future.

Sufficient space for family of five….

Upon arrival, unit was clean and well furnished--had plenty of pots, pans, and utensils for our cooking needs. Beds are comfortable and the air-conditioning is cold! The bunks, however, are small, and the top bunk is quite close to the ceiling. Good for middle kids like 6 to 8 yr. olds, but not for your older kids. Sofa sleeper made up for that--good mattress there. Absolutely appreciate the convenience of the keyless entry. Husband used the exercise room downstairs a couple of days--that was nice to have. A major plus is that this is not a large complex and it is located next to another smaller complex, which means plenty of beach space is available--no fighting the crowds! This was our first trip to Perdido Key--we usually go to Fort Walton Beach, but wanted a shorter drive this time. Great decision. Perdido Key has a smaller crowd, less traffic, and is family-oriented. Publix and CVS about 3 minutes from Perdido Skye, and a snow ball stand is located right across the street. If you want more shopping or entertainment, Orange Beach is a short drive away. Beaches are beautiful. If you want to parasail or jet ski, the rental is conveniently located 100 yards over directly on the beach. Overall, we had a wonderful vacation with our three boys and if I can convince the husband to end his love affair with Destin, we will be back! Our thanks to the owner for allowing us to rent his unit. :-)

Perdido Key offers beautiful, pristine, uncrowded beaches the majority of the year, and dining, entertainment, and shopping is also available. Captain bunks are great for small children, but could be too small for most teenagers and adults. Great news is that the foam mattress on the sofa sleeper allows for more comfortable sleeping space for additional guests. We enjoyed spending the week of the 4th at your lovely condo. So clean and updated, nice not to see seashells and bright blue everywhere!
Love the combination locks, beats keeping up with a key!
My only suggestion would be to put up some "black out" drapes in the master bedroom. (for those late sleepers)
We will be back someday! It was good talking with you personally.
P.S. rental company is a little stuffy!

Owner's Response: I am very happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay. We attempted to make our condo a home away from home for ourselves and our visitors. I could not agree more with the addition of the KABA lock (no keys to keep track of).

We have considered adding curtains to the window in the MBR to provide additional cover in addition to the mini-blinds. We will return to Perdido Key in August, and this could very likely end up on the things to do list.

I'm not sure what happened with the rental management company, as our visitors have had good experiences with them in the past. Perhaps, the busy week of July 4th had them more stressed out than normal, but either way, we pay good money to them to ensure that our guest have a good experience. I will definitely follow-up on this, as we expect AAA+ service for the money we pay.

Happy to hear that you will be back in the future. We try to provide a clean, updated place for our visitors at an affordable price. The beachfront location doesn't hurt either. Thank you for the review.

I can't speak for everyone's condo in this establishment. It gene lejunes is awesome unit 43 clean nice view everything included all you need is clothes,toiletries,beach towels I will be staying again!
