The building is typical Barcelona's Golden age (XX century). Has 'Modernista' (Art Deco) style and solid construction.

We choosed that apartment because is in the center but has not the inconvenients of 'being in the center'. We mean distances to most places we and you will go are near in terms of distance and time.
The apartment is comfortable: the elevator, is a quiet street, bright, is a beatiful building, and has a very comfotable distribution.
We choosed to have 2 complete bathrooms for your comfort, that is our priority.
If you like to stay between Barcelona's habitants more than to be in a crowded turistic area, in a typical Eixample building you are welcome to our house.
We were 2 senior couples who stayed 6 nights in Carlos & Lourdes' apartment in the Fort Pienc district of Barcelona. We planned this trip for over a year and looked at many apartments before choosing this one, and we were very happy we did. We chose it for location as we wanted to be close to where the action was during the Festival La Merce'. It is very close to Arc de Triomf where they held the wine festival. We were able to walk to almost everything we did. The apartment was very clean and tidy and the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare breakfast each day and to keep our wine cold. The bathrooms were spacious and also very clean. The apartment is up on third floor from the street level, but there is a small elevator, so no stairs to worry about. Carlos was there to welcome us and addressed any concerns we had. Checking out was a breeze, as he came over the night before our early departure to return deposit, even letting us leave unused food in refrigerator, very unusual but much appreciated, as we had an early train to catch. I would rent this apartment again without hesitation if we needed 2 bedrooms and 2 separate baths. There were many small food markets and bars and restaurants in the blocks surrounding the apartment, as well as a large supermarket at Ft. Pienc, only one block away. We used the metro at Arc de Triomf, less than 3 blocks away. Also very handy transport to Sants and airport. We took a taxi from the airport only because we were 4 seniors with moderate luggage, and it was 36 Euro. I would recommend this apartment to anyone needing the space, and Carlos was a joy to work with, answering my emails very promptly.
O apartamento é excelente, muito bem equipado, com varandinha típica da cidade, bem localizado em bairro tranquilo com fácil acesso a todos pontos de interesse. Proprietários atenciosos. Amamos Barcelona e pretendemos voltar!
Excellent location. Nice and clean apartment. Helpfull owner.
I was fortunate to stay a month in Carlo & Lourdes's apartment that is located within walking distance of many tourist sites but far enought away to enjoy the "local" feeling. The metro is 2 blocks away, giving you access of the entire city. The apartment is super clean, beds very comfortable, great wifi reception, washing machine (dry clothers from rooftop), dishwasher, great bathrooms with lots of hot water. I was met @ the apartment by Carlos who explained all the features of the apartment. He was also a phone call away to answer any questions. I would encourage anyone or any age looking for a safe place to stay in Barcelona to contact Carlos...you won't be sorry! Another bonus is the elevator that takes you right to your apartment.
I am a "senior" whose great pleasure it was to stay in this apartment for the month of July 2013. It was perfectly suited to me: quiet, safe, good beds, a good kitchen, washer-dryer (I preferred to dry my clothes on a line up on the roof), elevator, and room for guests when I had them. Thank goodness for the air-conditioning, as it was hot and very humid in July. The apartment was true to the photos provided, and very clean. I engaged their cleaning lady while I was there, and she was very thorough. The apartment is located in a nice, safe residential neighborhood a short walk from the medieval quarter, and short walks also to three different subway line stops, so I could get all over town with no problem. A small charcuterie and produce store on the block, and a large grocery store a block away. Carlo and Lourdes are dream landlords: they made sure I was well installed and had the wi-fi working well, were always available for questions, and immediately responded to an upstairs neighbor's broken pipe problem that caused a little flood in the second bathroom (Carlo had plumbers in within a few hours, at night, even!). They are very sweet people and totally committed to their tenants' satisfaction and happy stay. One small difficulty I had was promptly getting hot water in the shower on some days; it would take a few minutes to work the faucet handle and check to make sure that the water heater was activated in the kitchen. Carlo is aware of the glitch and is trying to find a solution. I was very sad to leave this apartment and very beautiful city. I wholeheartedly recommend this apartment, and its owners, to you.
Excellent location, within walking distance of almost everything you might want to see in Barcelona and close to the metro for the few sites for which you may need it. The building is charming, and the apartment is exactly as shown and described: clean, comfortable, quiet and well equipped - and the lift is a nice plus! The bed was great and the kitchen modern and actually functional for making meals. The neighbourhood is just outside the touristy areas, in a friendly, family neighbourhood with lots of places to buy groceries and lots of restaurants.
We stayed here twice during our visit to Spain, and coming back to this snug lovely apartment felt like coming home.
We were celebrating a big birthday and a significant anniversary, and this place made it special! Thank you to Carlo and Lourdes, and their friend Xavier for an excellent holiday.
