This is a uniquely beautiful and comfortable 2-story home on a 2/3 acre secluded lot in a quiet neighborhood on Anchorage's hillside. If you are going to come all the way to Alaska for vacation, make sure you enjoy the beauty of it in the place you stay too!
The home is a custom-built 2000 sq ft house full of personal touches. It has tons of windows and natural light, and is full of custom tile, painting, and woodwork. (It is rare that visitors don't comment on how nice and comfortable it is.)
It is fully furnished and has 2 master bedrooms and 1 smaller room + 3 bathrooms that provide plenty of space for everyone. It sleeps 3-7 with 2 queen beds & 1 double bed + 1 twin-size bed available. This home feels remote as it is tucked into a wooded lot in a quiet neighborhood near the mountains and hillside parks, yet, it is still very close to all the city amenities. Don't be surprised if you have wildlife such as moose walk right through the yard, even with the grocery store and shopping stores only a few miles away!
The home has an open living area with a TV, DVD player, BOSE stereo system, and an open and inviting fully-furnished kitchen. There is high-speed WIFI throughout the house, and a west-facing deck with a gas BBQ to enjoy the afternoon & evening sun setting over the Alaska Range mountains. Each of the master bedrooms have their own custom bathrooms, and a third full bathroom can be used by all on the main floor.
With easy access to Minnesota Drive & the Seward Highway it is only 15 minutes from the airport, 20 minutes from downtown, walking distance to the zoo & hillside park trails, 5 minutes from shopping and restaurants, and 10 minutes from Chugach State Park.

Just wanted to let you know we really enjoyed staying at your place. It worked out perfectly for our vacation in Alaska. It is a very pretty place. Thanks for everything.
Clean, beautiful, and conveniently located. Highly recommended.
Very nice home, quiet neighborhood. Perfect for the four of us. This was a relaxing place to return to at the end of the day. This was a good "base station" for excursions in and around Anchorage as well as trips south.
The Wi-Fi was definitely a bonus! The kitchen had everything we needed. We couldn't use the fireplace for some reason, this would be a nice feature to have available during the colder months. Will definitely consider staying here again if we make another trip to Anchorage.
We loved the home. It was close enough to town for visits and shopping and far enough away for moose to wander through the yard. It does not have AC and we thought that would be a problem until we realized the highs were 72 degrees. I would recommend this to anyone spending time in AK.
Nice family home. We had six adults and were able to spread out and have space for everyone. Nice location in residential area on the outskirts of town. Everything was as advertised and would recommend for your stay. Jennifer was amazing to work with. We had to change our plans last minute and she still accommodated us for the one night.
This home was perfect for our needs. It was clean, well equipped and in a quiet neighborhood. I wouldn't hesitate to stay at this "home away from home" again. One thing I would recommend bringing though would be eye covers for sleeping if you come in the summer. There are so many nice windows that it is hard to block the light at night in the bedrooms.
My family and I chose this property for its traditional Alaskan style and appearance. Here are a few things to consider: The house is smaller than it appears. The listing reads that it sleeps seven but 3 of the 7 would be uncomfortable. One of the three beds is a futon. The only other place to sleep is the couch. There is not a lot of living space. There is not a single room that is large enough to comfortably sit more than four adults. The house came fully supplied with towels, but I would recommend washing the bedding first. There was a lot of hair on one of the beds and pillows. Also, trash became an issue. When we arrived (on Saturday) the trash can was full with prior guests' leftover trash, so we were forced to stack our trash in the house until the Wednesday pickup. Other than that, the kitchen and supplies are very nice. It is very accessible to the main road and stores. I would recommend this property to a small traveling group.
