I stayed at this home for 2 weeks in July with my husband and a friend of mine and her son. We attended a two week class in Anchorage and the home was perfect!! Nestled in a wooded neighborhood, the home is close to everything while providing such a peaceful retreat. Inside, the home is kept especially clean, which is really important to me, and it is beautifully decorated. The owner is wonderful and so helpful with answering questions. I call it a "home" because it was that comfortable to be staying in it for the two weeks. And seeing a mother moose with her baby on our street was so exciting to this Jersey girl!
The location is perfect if you need to be in Anchorage but we also found it easy to travel both north and south. It is an easy day trip to Portage, Girdwood and even Seward. Going north, we made a day trip to the Matanuska Glacier, which to us was the highlight of the trip! There are also many other sites to see up north, but because of the classes we were unable to get there.
I highly recommend this rental home and would stay there again, if I were heading to Alaska!
