My wife and I spent our honeymoon here. The house is very close to Stillwater and Hudson as well. We love the architecture and the layout of the place! It is like being in a movie... there is detail everywhere, and FrankLloydWrighty is exactly how it should be described; it must have cost a pretty penny to build this copycat. We'd love to own a house like this, and we will be back. If you are drawn to the look of it, you'll really enjoy your stay.
FYI the 2 bathrooms and 2 bedrooms in the house are on the lower level (downstairs), which was never a problem for us, but I guess could be a concern for those with mobility issues. We didn't use the fireplace (it was too warm when we visited) but there was nice wood provided, should we have wanted one.
The full size kitchen has a lot of counter space and it was easy to cook our meals. If you don't want to cook, local restaurants seem really good (we ate at Luna Rossa... a real Italian named Raphael owns the place!)
The decks and amphitheater/porch in the back are fantastic! They're larger than they look in the pictures. 7 or 8 Lawn chairs plus a table/umbrella are provided... we did a lot of reading outside, overlooking the river.
The owners are fantastic people and live nearby. They are thoughtful people, and very helpful with suggestions and when describing the property before I reserved. Everything was nice and clean, especially the bathrooms, sheets and towels. There's even shampoo in the bathrooms in case you didn't remember yours.
We'll be back. Thanks again!
