This log cabin is nestled in the foothills of the Rockies, on a working cattle ranch. It has a full kitchen, bathroom and queen bed on the main floor and in the loft there are two double beds. Guests have access to fire pit, gas barbecue and hot tub. We welcome our guests to bring their horses or hike to explore the breath-taking country. The ranch is where the hectic life ends and the adventure begins. There are two creeks and a major river system for anglers, paddlers and swimmers. View wild life and wild horses or head into town where there are two golf courses. We welcome children and can accommodate pets.

We honestly couldn't say enough good things about our time spent in these cabins.
We just got back this evening from four nights spent on this property on the the Red Deer River in the Alberta Foothills. As avid horseback riders, we have been searching for somewhere to vacation with the horses that would provide us with a variety of different rides that are easily accessed while also being challenging. The staff at the ranch are extremely knowledgeable and helpful, the horses had all they would need while there, and the cabins were exceptionally well stocked.
After a few hours in the saddle the hot tub and fire pit are welcome distractions, as is a leisurely walk around the property which is directly on Williams Creek. For the warm blooded, you can take a dip in the clear mountain stream.
Nestled among the foothills, you can watch the sun paint the tops of the hills in the morning with golden fingers. The evenings treat you with fabulous Alberta sunsets where the pastels of a waning evening dance along the horizon, feeding into the night of a million stars which seem infinite in a area so natural that urban sprawl cannot provide any clouds to your vision.
Highly recommended as a way to unplug from your busy life and enjoy nature at it's finest while also providing you with all the creature comforts that a person could want. Will be back soon.
Enjoy the awesome outdoors and the serenity of the ranch, sit back and let the hectic life slip away. There is lots of opportunity for activities on the ranch and also around the ranch. Drive 20 minutes to golf on one of two golf courses, raft the river, fish, hunt, bring your horses and go for a ride, or just go for a walk or hike. While staying with us you happen to catch a little cabin fever and need to get out, the nearby town of Sundre has lots to offer: Restaurants and shops, a great museum, a library, a pool and churches. Or if you want to experience the wild, wild west drive out to the Bearberry Saloon for wings on Fridays (it is a restaurant until 8). If you are here during the week you could also visit the Watervalley Saloon on Wednesday for wings (no minors). Both unique places have great atmospheres and are quite the experience.
If you would rather get further away from civilization you could drive up to the Ya Ha Tinda, bring your horses with you or hike up to the falls and have a picnic!!
There is lots to do, so come and join us.
