Overview

Cruso Lodge Rental Photos and Description

Mountain Lodge, 5 Bedrooms, 4.5 Baths, 5000 sq feet (Sleeps 18)

Sitting at an elevation of 3,200 feet, this 5,000 square foot designer decorated mountain lodge serves as the central point for all the guests at East Fork Ranch. The home boasts five bedrooms including two master suites, two spacious guest rooms and one “bunk” room (perfect for kids).

The Lodge at East Fork Ranch is one of four different properties available to rent. All four properties are listed on VRBO, and can be found by selecting the link at the bottom of this page. The properties at East Fork Ranch can be rented out on an individual basis, however if you would like to reserve all four houses for a corporate retreat or large family gathering Please contact us and we will work with you to accommodate your plans.

The Lodge has a huge, open kitchen with top-of-the-line appliances, a Franklin stove surrounded by river rock, and a hand built, rustic wooden dinning table for breaking bread with family and friends. The Great Room is adorned with comfortable designer furnishings and dominated by an impressive stone hearth and fireplace.

The gathering front porch of the Lodge is well equipped with comfortable rocking chairs and an all-encompassing view of the property. On the level below the porch resides a sitting area, fire pit and stone barbecue for the preparation of a multitude of outdoor culinary delights. And on starry, starry nights, the kids will love catching fire flies in Mason jars or roasting marshmallow's and sitting around the campfire watching the flames dance in the cool, mountain breezes.

Western North Carolina is a paradise in so many ways. So much to do – so little time! Just look around and take in all the mountain wonders that abound here in the shadow of Cold Mountain and the Pisgah National Forest. This is truly God’s country in so many respects. The abundant wildlife, the rolling topography of the land, the rushing streams and rivers – all beckon those weary with the demands of city life – to sit still and take in a deep breath of clean, cool mountain air.

It is here, a midst the mountain laurel, Hemlock and Maple, here along the wooded walking trails, here at the side of a placid fishing pond or a rushing river, here under the evening stars and within the sounds of a crackling fire that you and your closest friends and family will remember, reflect and resolve that while you may travel back home, you will never truly leave this place.

Keywords: Elevation of East Fork Ranch is 3,200 Feet, Smoky Mountains, 11 mi to Waynesville North Carolina, Cold Mountain, 35 Mi to Asheville North Carolina, Blue Ridge Parkway, river, trout fishing, weddings, corporate retreat, family reunion, 5 mi to Pisgah national forest, sliding rock, Viking Range, Stainless Steel Appliances, Fly fishing onsite, Professionally designed interior, Fire pit, out door grilling area, Golf next door.

Christmas 2014

  • 5 of 5
My family of 4 adults and 3 children celebrated an early Christmas at East Fork Ranch and what a wonderful experience; never a dull moment. The Lodge was beautifully decorated for Christmas; it was everything that I imagined Christmas in the mountains would be. Our son thoroughly enjoyed fly fishing on the Pigeon River, as well as, the two trout ponds on the property. The hiking and exploring the property was a thrilled for all of us. The Property Manager was very gracious and made sure we always had plenty of firewood and kindling. We will definitely return to East Fork Ranch.

An experience, not a rental. A shared piece of land, not a property. A family, not a corporation. A memory, not a moment.

Thank you Graves family from the Menard-Loughrige clan.

Ideal Mountain Property for.. EVERYONE!

  • 5 of 5
We absolutely loved our recent stay at East Fork Ranch Lodge. The fire pit was perfectly placed along with gas grill and quick access to the property manager, literally onsite. We booked the home for 8 kids and 3 adults. The kids loved the bunk room, which slept all 8 kids and we left 2 of the bedrooms untouched. Everything in this home is custom with no touch missed. The décor is perfect and in tradition with the mountain theme. As advertised, there was plenty of firewood for the large outdoor fire pit. Between hiking trails, 2 ponds, and fishing in the pigeon river, there was very little reason to leave the place.. I highly recommend this home. The owners are extremely nice and easy to deal with and communicate. The property manager, who as mentioned earlier is nearby, was there when we arrived, gave us a nice tour of the home, and checked back daily bringing firewood, and even a rake so the kids could create large leaf piles. If you are looking for a home that will entertain the kids and sleep from 6 - 18, this is your place. Very rare to find a mountain gem like this.. .Book it!

The lodge was exceptional. Enough space for your entire family. Modern in its appointments but rustic in feel. Anyone that needs a week or so with family needs East Fork Ranch...

Amazing HOME

  • 5 of 5
Our family of 17 lucked up on this home and stayed for a long weekend together. We were in town for the Memorial service for my mother-in-law, and we needed a beautiful place to stay to "get away" from it all. This home more than accommodated. The bedrooms are all beautiful and comfortable; creative, unique and stylish furniture; many areas to sit and relax, watch a football game, or rock on the front porch while watching the kids and dads fish; a fantastic outdoor grill and fireplace with a firepit as well, perfect for roasting marshmallows (with sticks and ingredients provided for S'mores!); not to mention the top of the line Viking oven/stove in the kitchen. We couldn't have asked for anything better. We hope to come back because we didn't have time to do more exploring of the property that included more fish ponds, hiking trails, wading in the river, etc. Much to do here. We had a wonderful time!

Great Family Vacation Spot

  • 5 of 5
Our group included two grandparents, two adult couples, a baby sitter and 5 kids ( ages 9,4,3,1,1,). The kids slept in the kids' bunk room which could accommodate 8 if needed. The house is very, very kids friendly and there is enough space to get away from the kids if you would like. We were there a week and only went out to dinner in Waynesville once. We spent the days hiking and enjoyed sitting on the porch and around the fire pit in the evenings. The kids loved roasting marshmellows and playing in the nearby stream. Some of the adults hiked on the nearby trail and fished on the property. The kitchen has everything needed to cook meals for large families...We look forward to returning!
