Both cities have colourful and amazing histories.Both are a joy to explore & discover, St Malo looking out to sea, Dinan overlooking the Le Rance river port & valley. Their cobbled streets & architecture amaze & enchant. St Malo has many tourists in the summer, Dinan has a more undiscovered feel. There are many little bars & bistros lining the ancient streets. Around every corner there is a view that pleases the eye & raises the spirits, with well over a thousand years of history it calls to be explored. Golf: Events. This year 2010, is the year of the famous' Fetes des Remparts,' a festival celibrating the middle ages.The streets are draped in the towns medieval banners. Dinan is a great base for golfers with a choice of 6 courses within easy reach , and after your game come back park the car and wander the streets and bars, no need for cabs.
There many courses around Dinan, Dinard is perched on the cliffs and offers views to die for, though i'm not sure most golfers aren't that bothered!
St Cast is another that is on the coast in a bay called Penguin a wonderful bay and just along from St Cast with its new marina, and lovely town square.
