Their cobbled streets & architecture amaze & enchant. St Malo has many tourists in the summer, Dinan has a more undiscovered feel. There are many little bars & bistros lining the ancient streets. Around every corner there is a view that pleases the eye & raises the spirits, with well over a thousand years of history it calls to be explored. Any internet search of Dinan will fill you with a hunger to tread the cobbles As Charles Dickens said Dinan is a most charming hill town and river port in Brittany, Come & find a resting place & find your mind going back through the centuries to kings & crusaders, pirates & merchants whose ships travelled to the four corners of the known world. THE COAST.
The Emerald Coast: The waters are indeed green and with the highest rise and fall of water in Europe,
the shell fish are some of the best in the world.
The history along the coast is everywhere, pirates and battles, smuggling and treasures.
The treasure is still here, just pop along to St Jacut de la Mer , sit on the grass and watch the day unfold as the sail boats, surfers , sports kites and sand buggies all vie for your attention,
The gulls call as they float by on the breeze and lull you into contented state giving you plenty of time to plan lunch.
Or if you feel a little more energetic, a day trip to Guernsey, its just 30 mins away.
There are many boat tours from St Malo and Dinard,
also from Dinan there's a boat trip to the Barrage near St Servan.
Dinard boasts every water sport you can think of and a few other sports such as go karts.
With late night bars clubs and the casinos in St Malo and Dinard there's plenty to keep you busy. And a flutter and a late drink are always on the menu.
PERFECT FOR EXPLORING.
