The Owner purchased this house in 2008
We love the location of this home. Close to Chautauqua Park, University of Colorado and Pearl Street, while still being in a quiet neighborhood, this is Boulder's ideal location.
Peaceful backyard with multiple patios and decks. Beautiful, open kitchen with large, separate pantry. Flatiron views from the master bedroom king size bed. Great flow for entertaining.
Our family thoroughly enjoyed out time in Boulder at this home. Clean, bright, and very convenient. We have 4 kids and they had a great time - and we had plenty of room. The kitchen was fun to cook in, and we had a nice time just hanging out. The big country table was perfect when we had people over for Thanksgiving. No complaints.
This was the perfect home for bringing all the children and grandchildren together for the first time. The home is very well equipped (especially the kitchen!), very clean, and convenient to downtown Boulder, as well as the many hiking trails nearby. There is ample room on three levels so that everyone can have space to call their own. The large backyard is fenced in, and the in-ground trampoline was an instant hit with the grandchildren. We hope to get everyone together at this home again, maybe next year.
We stayed here for 8 nights but I wish it could have been longer!!! Boulder is such a wonderful town with a lot to offer and this amazing property puts you right in the middle of it all. It is gorgeous and very comfortable. Super clean - super nice and really easy to book!
The place is right next to Chautauqua park, so it is a beautiful walk with an amazing view!
Our interactions with the owner via email, phone and in person were very positive and they were very accommodating.
Would highly recommend to anyone.
Our stay was over the Christmas holiday 2013 and it was a wonderful choice for our family.
This home is uniquely outfitted in decor and design. Everyone had a bedroom and we used the owner's Pak n' Play for our 18 month old grandson in the downstairs TV/media room to sleep. The kitchen is outfitted with a great stove and oven, coffee maker/grinder, really most any amenity you would want. In addition, the family supplied us with a variety of teas and coffee, cooking oils, staples for baking and spices. So, if you would like to cook in occassionally, instead of eating on the Pearl Street Mall, this is a great home inwhich to do so. Thank you for the lovely fruit and treat basket. It took a few days of my daughters convincing me that, 'Yes, indeed, the basket was left for us!'. We really enjoyed dinner at the long, beautiful wooden table where everyone could be seated (6 and 8 with guests at Christmas). We even used the gas grill one night in December!
With a toddler, we brought a baby gate from home and got creative to block another stairway. There are several stairways of just a few stairs making for an interesting floor plan.
This home is close to Chautauqua Park for hiking which we did most every day and a play park for children. We walked to the Pearl Street area for people watching, shopping and eateries. Highly recommend is Piece, Love and Chocolate's sipping chocolate! Oh my! There are great choices for dining in Boulder. Frasca and L'Atelier are on the high end. More moderately priced dinners are at Riff's Urban Fare. Lucile's is good for breakfast with flaky biscuits and beignets as nice treats with homemade strawberry rhubarb jam! Zolo's is good mexican although a little pricey for mexican. Breadworks has nice baked goods and soups. If you enjoy live music, the Boulder Theater sometimes brings in real good groups.
Whether for a holiday, graduation, retreat or vacation this is a lovely home that is well maintained and cheery. The hosting family is very helpful and accommodating. We hope your experience will be as nice as ours!
We rented this wonderful home for our family over Thanksgiving 2013. My oldest son and his wife moved to Boulder a year ago and the rest of us came from North Carolina and Puerto Rico to spend time together. I was anxious before arrival hoping the home lived up to the pictures and my expectations. This home is amazing and definitely lived up to my expectations. It is even more spacious than it looks through pictures. It is well maintained, decorated very nicely, updated and fully stocked. Where do I begin? The master suite located on the third level is spacious and the bed is VERY comfortable. The master bathroom and closet is large and modern. My three grandchildren (all girls) loved the girl's bedroom on the same level which was complete with bunk beds, a desk, books, and toys and has it's own bathroom. The main level has a wonderful gourmet kitchen which we thoroughly enjoyed with an ample size bar island and lots of bar stools to sit around the kitchen area. There is a large table that comfortably fits 10-12 adults. It also has comfortable couches and a fireplace in this large open area. You can easily cook, eat, talk and relax all in the same area. The bathroom and two bedrooms on that level were well appointed with very comfortable beds. The lower level has a wonderful large screen TV and lots of games to enjoy. The washer and dryer is on that level as well and comes complete with laundry supplies. The main foyer is large and has ample storage for the many coats, hats, gloves and boots needed for the outside at that time of year. The outside fenced in backyard has a trampoline, a grill, and an outdoor table and nice lounging furniture under a covered patio area. The location is great as you are less than a mile from lots of hiking and only a few minutes from the heart of downtown Boulder. Jeff is wonderful to work with and he made sure the house was stocked with supplies such as shampoo, soap, hair dryer, toilet paper, paper towels, band aids, picnic baskets, water bottles, etc. He even had a big bowl of chocolates by the front door waiting for us. This house was perfect for us and I enjoyed every minute in it. I can't wait to rent it again in the future. Some places to visit while in Boulder are The Nod & Rose Storehouse on Spruce Street for really cool clothes shopping, The Bohemian Beer Garten, The Boulder Beer company tour, and The Celestial Seasons tea factory and store. The Denver zoo is wonderful and well worth the drive.
This house is amazing! It was the perfect place to host our mini-family reunion (5 adults, 5 kiddos.) The house itself is beautiful with a great layout - the kitchen, dining room, and living room are all open so we were all able to relax together. There is a separate TV room/playroom downstairs, which was perfect for the kids. We also spent many evenings outside on the covered porch.
It is wonderful for kids, as there is a sandbox and an in-ground trampoline in the backyard! Our 3, 4, and 5 year olds loved going to jump from morning to night. Since the trampoline was in the ground, they were able to access it with no assistance.
The location of the house is great; we hardly got in our car. We were able to walk downtown, to CU, to playgrounds, and go on hikes. The neighborhood is charming; I loved looking at all the neighboring houses.
Jeff was wonderful to work with. He was personable, able to answer all of our questions, and super easy to get in touch with.
All in all, I can't recommend this house highly enough!!
We shared this beautiful home with my parents and our two-year-old son. The privacy and diversity offered on each level creates sanctuary and balance. The downstairs playroom is comfortable, large, and full of wonderful toys and a piano. The kitchen is superb and the upstairs master suite is gorgeous and sprawling. We only wish we could have stayed longer. If you have have young children please consider a baby gate for the stairs. And if stairs are tough on your body please consider that there are many stairs in this house.
