Cycling:
If you’re in to cycling we have mountain and road bikes, helmets and a tandem available for hire, with a series of routes close by and accessible from the casita. We also offer the services of a mountain bike guide should you require it and uplifts if you find the hills too much! Bike hire and guiding services are payable locally.
Shopping & trains:
Supplies can be bought locally in the village of El Chorro, where there is a small supermarket, or in Ardales for more choice – both about 10-15 minutes away by car. These small shops close for siesta at around 1.30pm and open again in the evening at 5.00pm until 8.00pm. If you need a ‘big shop’ then larger supermarkets that are open all day can be found in Alora or Campillos, both 30 minutes away. Malaga town centre with it's wealth of shopping centres and places of cultural interest, including the Picasso museum, alcazaba, castle and impressive bull-ring is very easily reached by train from Alora. There is an excellent train link along the coast from Malaga.
The new high speed AVE train link will get you from Malaga to Madrid in 2.5 hours - less if you take the train from Santa Ana near Antequera. There's so much to see!
Thermal Spa:
The exclusive thermal spa at Carratraca is now open - approximately 20 mins drive away.
