This is a cozy 2 bed 2 bath guest style bunkhouse with a feel of being out on the range with the old western cowboys. Come and relax in the beauty of Southern Utah or come for a busy weeks stay. Kanab is certraly located to many National parks and National Monuments. Zion, Bryce,and Lake Powell just to name a few. The Welcome sign in to town says it all 'The Greatest Earth on Show'

We have also been call 'Little Hollywood' with many John Wayne westerns and modern day movies being filmed in the area. 'John Carpenter' was one of the more recent. There is plenty to do here. Bring your 4-wheelers and ride of in to the sunset or just down town Kanab has local routes threw town. We are a pet Friendly rental with dog door onto the deck. Come join us for a stay in your own bunkhouse for your own wild west experience.

About The Owner

Troy and Chey love living in Kanab. The beauty here is unmatched to us any way. We have been together for 3 years now and love being in the great outdoors. That's why Kanab is so great for us. Troy is originally from California and followed his parents when they moved to Kanab to retire. Troy is a local business man and head of Troy's Plumbing. Chey is your basic born and bread Kanabite. She did leave for a little while but she just never got used to her tennis shoes being white. Our local red dirt gets under your skin (or laces as it were) and you just can't be anywhere else. I've worked at our local hospital for the last 19 years. First as a CNA and currently as the Recreational Therapist.

Why The Owner chose Kanab

Well we didn't buy this as a vacation home. As I said we live where most vacation. Troy and I are just new to our lives together and both have our own homes. So why not share the place we love so much with others? We noticed there really is not a lot of places to stay with your pet and we like to travel with our pack as well, and with so many people who come to Kanab for Best Friends or the Greyhound Gathering. Our place sitting empty with a great pet door on to the deck. Why not open it up. So here we are today.

What makes this cottage unique

Kanab is centrally located to Bryce National Park, Zion National Park, North Rim of the Grand Canyon National park, Grand Staircase Escelante National monument, Lake Powell National Recreational area, Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park, Dixie and Kiabab National Forest all with in a hour and half from the front door. We're a 15 min walk or a 5 min drive to down town. Kanab is a OHV friendly town so if you don't feel like a walk you can still forget the car.

This place was just wonderful! The location is great. The "bunkhouse" is spacious, clean and comfortable in all respects. I cannot get over how easy it was to get to SO MANY sightseeing places. I hesitate to add too many good things because for sure it will be booked when I want to return. A real gem!

The VRBO in Kanab, UT, (Cozy Color Country 2-Bed Rental) was outstanding. It is located on the outskirts of town, so while the stores, etc. are close, one still has the privacy and space of the countryside. The yard and house are well maintained and very clean. The set-up of the house makes it very easy to use - a fully equipped kitchen, two bedrooms and two bethrooms, and lovely decks on three sides. The listing photos while accurate, hardly do it justice. The owners were very helpful and pleasant, although persistance was necessary in the beginning to get everything arranged.
We would recommend this property to others, especially families with youngsters as there is plenty of "run, jump, roll-over" space inside and out. We will stay there again in the future.
The area is a wonderful vacation destination; Kanab is centerally located to many national and state parks which allows for easy day trips and lots of outdoor activity.

Loved the 2x Nest Bunkhouse

We stayed at the Bunk House for 4 nights, and had a great time. It was perfect to base to explore many of the National Parks. The owners were very nice, and had their daughter meet us with a key to let us in when we arrived on Sunday. The home was clean and well-maintained, and the balcony over looking the city was our favorite part of the house.

A big plus for us was that it was dog friendly and included a doggie door to the balcony for the dogs to go in and out of, which they loved.

Couldn't have had a better experience.

Really great time!

We throughly enjoyed our stay, it's a nice house in a great location and not far from town.

The only neagative was that the pots and pans were in tough shape and needed through cleaning before use.

We'd not hesitate to return !
