'Harbour Vista' is a spacious five bedroom Chalet Bungalow situated in the picturesque area of Stanpit near Mudeford. The property enjoys extensive views over Stanpit Nature Reserve, a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), renowned for a wide variety of native and migratory birds. 'Harbour Vista' sleeps 8 people comfortably. There is off road parking for several vehicles and boat and a secure double length garage. Outside there is a lovely secluded and secure garden area with patio. The nearest shop is 500metres and the nearest pub is 200 metres. Christchurch with its many fine restaurants(including two from Gary Rhodes), shops, historic Norman castle and Priory is one mile by road or a 15 minute walk by footpath. Avon Beach with safe swimming, cafe and sandy beaches is a 15 minute walk, as is Mudeford Quay with its working fishing fleet, ferry to Mudeford sands and Pub serving traditional food. The New Forest with beautiful walks, countryside and wildlife is a 15 minute drive.

Location: 'Harbour Vista' is located in a small friendly area known as Stanpit which lies directly between the historic town of Christchurch and the picturesque beach and quay of Mudeford. Historically Stanpit was the area where most of the fishermen would lay out their nets to dry out on the edge of the marshland. These days it still retains its charm with a sleepy, relaxed feel. Directly opposite 'Harbour Vista' is 'Tuttons Well' - a capped natural fresh water spring where people used to travel from all over the country in Victorian times to sample the 'elixir' of Christchurch, which reputedly had exceptional medicinal properties and was especially good for curing eyesight problems. Also opposite the property is 'Stanpit Marsh' which is a 122 acre Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) with a wide variety of bird life, grazing horses and excellent fishing. Christchurch itself is a quiet stroll away as is Christchurch Harbour with its shallow waters.

Christchurch Harbour: 'Harbour Vista' overlooks Christchurch Harbour which is an ideal location for canoeing, dinghy sailing, kite surfing or simply watching the wide variety of wildlife. Regular ferries run from Mudeford Quay to Mudeford Sand spit (renowned for the most expensive beach huts in the country) as well as to Christchurch Quay and Iford further up the river Stour. Sailing lessons are available from several of the local sailing schools, alternatively there are slipways dotted around the harbour from where you may launch your own boat. Christchurch Quay is a great place to feed the swans and during the summer months plays host to the regatta as well as on occasion the brass band. Beautiful place to stay for the whole family

Our family of 8 stayed in this lovely property. We age from 6 months to 70yrs and it was suitable for all, lots of room. It is a very beautiful house, just as described, everything that a family could need. Utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer was really usefull with 2 children under 2. Everywhere was very clean and tidy, hav no complaints.
The area itself is beautiful with lots to explore. The local pub 'The Ship in Destress' is just just down the road, a really nice and friendly place to go, we felt like one of the locals straight away, also does amazing food.
If u hav a young family we recommend 'Farmer Palmers Farm Park', it was a brilliant day out, its a bit of a drive but definatly worth it.
We would recommend this house to everyone, and wil hopefully visit again.

We had a very nice time in the holiday vista the bungalow was excellent for my 85 year old Mother it was great for her with bedrooms and bathrooms on the ground floor Shame one of the bathrooms don’t have a standalone shower.
We will be recommending this holiday to family and friends

Lovely spot

The bungalow is in a lovely spot near Christchurch, close to the Stanpit nature reserve (across the road) and a mile from lovely Mudeford Quay. It is spacious enough, and a secure garden is ideal for kids/dogs.
There is loads to do in the area, and the airshow at Bournemouth was fantastic.
On the downside the stairs are a bit scary.

'Harbour Vista'

We had an excellent holiday at 'Harbour Vista'. The house was very clean and located very close to the beach, nature reserve and the town of Christchurch. The garden was safe and secluded and the kids and dog loved it. The bedrooms were all of a good size and were made with clean linen when we arrived. Christchurch had some great restaurants and bars and the local pub (just 200yards away) was friendly with excellent seafood.

We will certainly be booking again in the future!

Harbour Vista, 121 Stanpit, Christchurch

We had a very good holiday Harbour Vista. The house was in good repair, and it was close to the beach which is a prime position. The stairs are not good for the elderly as they are very steep, as I feel down them. The only minor issues were that there was no tin opener, no bowl for fruit and non of the beds were made when arriving after a very long journey.
