Poppy Villa is set on Mandarin Grove - a small development of just 4 villas and 4 apartments with a pool in the centre of Fodele village. Tucked away in a quiet location. Separated from the village square by a small bridge over the village stream.Poppy is only a few minutes walk from and the welcoming shops and tavernas of Fodele. Fodele has 7 tavernas, 2 mini markets and a bakery's as well as traditional lace and gift shops. Poppy has 2 double bedrooms, 2 shower rooms and a modern well equiped kitchen. Both bedrooms have balconies offering stunning views of the surrounding mountains and orange groves. Fodele is the birth place of the artist El Greco and the site of the Byzantine Church of the Panagia so combines history and culture with all you would expect from an unspoilt Cretan village. Poppy Villa is just a few minutes drive from Fodele's sandy beach and the beautiful resorts of Agia Pelagia and Lygaria.

Mandarin Grove is set back from the village square divided from the road by the river in a quiet and tranquil location. Fodele village is a unspoilt traditional village with all the shops you would need for day to day. The birth place of the artist El Greco.There are 9 tavernas catering for all taste buds! Poppy Villa is on the central north coast of Crete giving easy access to the rest of the island. The island of Crete has activities for all ages and interests from huge water parks to ancient Minoan sites. Fodele is only 8km form the popular larger resort of Agia Peligia and the beautiful bay of Ligaria. The smaller Fodele beach is only 2.7km - home to the 5 star Fodele Beach Hotel. The city of Heraklion is 20 minutes drive away offering the beautiful Palace of Knossos and excellent shopping.
