Having a house on a lake has long been a dream. We love sharing it with friends and family.
Peace and quiet in a secluded lakefront setting
We stayed here and had one of the best weeks of our summer! It was quiet, peaceful, and relaxing staying on what I feel is the best side of the lake.
The dock and deck is where we spent the majority of the time. It was sunny on the dock early and shady on the deck which worked out perfectly. At night we finished the day on the deck cooking over the large outside wood fireplace.
The fishing was great with enough sunnies to entertain the kids and enough bass for the adults. Swimming was easy with the deep-water dock and there were enough boats and swim toys for everyone.
Although it rained on our last day, it was a perfect stay overall. We plan on making the trip back next year.
We stayed two nights and were sad to leave early. Plenty of activities around - Kayaking,Canoeing, fishing, hiking etc...Clear and Clean Lake...
The owner were very hospitable and the place was well kept and cozy. Central location and easy access to Lake George and vicinity.
Would love to come back next summer and stay longer at CAMP OLA'!!!
Awesome stay, exactly how we imagined it. Just disappointed we could not stay a whole week.
Host very accomodating, allowed for early arrival and late departure.
Would like to come back.
Planned on staying for a week and then extended for a couple more days because we enjoyed our time here! Wife and kids and I loved the lake, fishing, boating, swimming. Our hosts provided rowboat, kayaks, canoe.
We used the camp as a jumping off point for lake George, lake placid, montreal, so it's in a great location for all.
What I really appreciated about the camp was how our hosts thought of many small details that made the stay more enjoyable. Eg plenty of supplies, games, books and more.
My wife and I took our three grandsons here for a week. The boys had a great time swimming boating and fishing in the lake, The lake is clear and clean. Everyone was content to just stay here and we only went out one night to eat. The accomodations are more than adequate and well equipped. Will more than likely return for another week.
I rented this camp with seven friends in July 2012 and we had a great experience. Four of us were coming from New York City and four from Boston, the camp is about 4 hours from each. The house is right on the water and relatively isolated from its neighbors. It is on the east side of the lake so we were able to enjoy amazing sunsets looking across the lake. The outdoor set-up is ideal with a giant deck, long dock, fire pit (that can be used as a grill) and gas grill. We enjoyed going out on the canoe and row boat provided by the owners. While the bedrooms are relatively small, the beds were very comfortable and the rooms stayed a good temperature. The camp is close enough to the town in Lake George and Saratoga Springs so it is easy enough to go out for a dinner or to the races if you want a break from nature. The owners were very responsive and helpful.
