This luxury apartment is situated in one the most idyllic settings on the Costa del Sol nestled just below the picturesque white-washed mountain village of Mijas. The apartment enjoys splendid panoramic views over the Mediterranean coast and Andalusian mountains. Finca San Antonio has tropical gardens, 2 swimming pools, security gates, wheelchair access to all parts of the complex and rooms, poolside toilets, pool-side showers, underground parking (if required), lifts to all apartments and nearby restaurants (Valpariso - very famous). The apartment boasts Sky Satellite (Sky viewing card needed for some programs) 42' Plasma TV that pauses and records all programs. WiFi internet access. Travel to and from the airport easily and quickly by public transport (only approx 5 Euro). If you are thinking of traveling by taxi I suggest renting a car from the airport using a budget internet based hire company. I will send details to anyone interested.

Relaxing, quiet and peaceful

This is a very spacious 2 bedroom apartment, which is clean and tidy. We are a family of 5 (3 young children) and never felt on top of each other. The complex itself is very well maintained with 2 swimming pools. It also has a games room with table football/tennis along with TV room and books/games you can borrow. It does mention a gym, sauna and indoor pool but these are not available so don't expect these, for us this wasn’t a requirement!

For my family this was a perfect location as it was out the way of the main tourist areas like Fuengirola and Mijas although they are almost on your doorstep if you want them. A car is a must, there are buses that run but you cannot really walk to a shop/restaurant as the road is not very well lit up and it is on a very steep hill.

Mijas is 2km away, this is a very nice little village with some quite quaint restaurants and tapa's bars. Fuengirola does nothing for me personally but the beach and bars are within a 10 minute drive. We found the best beach was Puerto Cabopino, this is about a 15 minute drive and the beach is very sandy and the sea is very calm, perfect for the kids. Be warned though, this does get very busy so get there early!

Although there are about 50 apartments we virtually had the pool to ourselves. The only real annoyance was the Wi-Fi connection was down more than up.

To summarize, this is a very clean, tidy apartment/complex, which is very quiet and peaceful. Things are in the area if you want them but not within a distance that makes then walkable.

I wouldn’t agree to a 5 star rating, having stayed in 5 star complexes but it certainly is very nice. Overall my family had a wonderful holiday and would recommend this property.

This was an excellent property which had a great large balcony where we did some entertaining.Property was clean, well furnished and handy for Mihas and Fuengerola,and very handy for Lew Hoad,s campo de tennis.

Wonderful - just perfect for a relaxing stay!

My husband, two children (7 and 5 yrs) and I have just come back from 2 wonderful weeks at the FSA. The appartment was absolutely perfect for our stay: equipped to the highest standard and perfectly situated within the complex. The complex itself was very attractive with beautifully kept gardens and fantastic swimming pools (the children spent hours in there every day). There was also a very friendly atmosphere around the pool: people were very welcoming and helpful and the children very soon had a group of playmates. The view from the terrasse added to the feeling of being "away from it all", whilst actually we were within very easy reach of the bustling village of Mijas (donkeys galore!). We appreciated the underground carpark which meant the car was never furnace-like.

All in all, two most relaxing, comfortable and sunny weeks. We would highly recommend Jason's appartment!

Just splendid!

Spent a week in this very nice appartment in July 2011. Excellent location close to Mijas and Fuengirola, the pool not crowded at all and we enjoyed silent nigths on the terrasse. I can truly recommend both the flat and the surrunding area for both couples and familys!

VERY COMFORTABLE APARTMENT

My husband and I recently enjoyed a very pleasant week at this apartment with our younger daughter and her friend (both 14)

The location was perfect, not too far away from the typical Spanish village of Mijas, which is very picturesque, or the larger tourist resorts such as Fuengirola.

We all enjoyed a good day at the water park which was 10 minutes drive away, very clean and well maintained

The apartment itself was both clean, comfortable and well equipped, and in a very safe secure complex which was reassuring.Being South facing we benefited form the best of the sunshine until late in the evening. Most evenings were spent enjoying the surroundings relaxing with a glass of wine whilst watching the girls enjoying playing in the pool before dinner.

I would Highly recommend this apartment and very much hope to stay there again in the future

A very nice apartment

My husband and I stayed in the apartment with our 2 year old son in July for a week. The shutters on the windows were perfect which meant he slept for over 13 hours! The apartment is well equipped and is a very good size. Sitting on the balcony at night is very pleasant.

There are a large number of UK residents in the apartments so there is a Sunday gathering around the pool so that you can get to know your neighbours. Everybody was very friendly and helpful.

There is a local garage up in Mijas where you can get supplies if you arrive late (as we did) and we also went into Feungirola for our main shop (avoid Lidl's as this is all bulk purchases not ideal when you are only staying for a week - try El Carte Ingles).

They say you are not allowed inflatables in the pool but there were a few when we were there. Lots of people had sunbeds (wich were cleared away each night) - it would have been nice if there were some in the apartment to use.

The only main negative for the apartment was that there was no key fob and access to the underground parking which meant our hire car was parked outside the secured grounds and in the sun. Putting a 2 year old into a car that has been out in 35 degrees is not pleasant.

There are bus stops directly outside Finca San Antonio for easy access to Mijas village or Fuengirola every 15 mins.

Mijas is one of the most beautiful Spanish villages on the Costa del Sol, some argue the best. The apartments location is peaceful and within walking distance of Mijas village. The views are breathtaking from the apartment on a clear day the mountains of Morocco can be seen. Listed below are just a few of the local shops very close to Mijas/Fuengirola: El Corte Ingles, Hipercor, EuroMarket, Lidl. Restaurants are too numerous to name but for a special occasions the Valpariso is less than 1km from the complex. Mijas is also very close to many attractions such as Tivoli World (Benalmadena), 2 AquaParks (Fuengirola and Torremolinos).

Ski: In the winter periods it is possible to travel to Sierra Nevade to try your hand at skiing.
