Cottage, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 1.5 Baths, (Sleeps 4-6)

Nestled between Chestnut street and Union street, this cottage resides in the back yard of a single family home. It is sun drenched, with peek-a-boo views of Pacific Heights. It's not uncommon to see multiple hummingbirds fluttering about the tall tree lined back yard.

The cottage is 2 levels, with the bedrooms located on the bottom level with the full bathroom. Upstairs has an open floor plan with the living room and dinning room alongside the galley kitchen. The kitchen has granite counters and stainless steel appliances. There is a half-bath located upstairs as well.

There is a little balcony off of the living room to enjoy your morning coffee and newspaper, as well as a ground level patio area with an outdoor table and seating and a gas BBQ grill.

The rental comes with a garage parking spot which is very convenient in this neighborhood. There is a washer and dryer located in the garage for use as well. There is a 50' plasma with a blue-ray dvd surround system if you decide to stay in and watch a movie. There is also a complimentary laptop computer with a printer with a wireless wi-fi connection. The cottage has linens, towels and all the cooking equipment needed to make your stay comfortable and feel like home.

The Cow Hollow neighborhood has a walking score of 98, and is the best place in the city to experience all San Francisco has to offer. Shopping, running, biking and sight seeing is all within a couple of blocks of this rental.

The owner lives in the front and is available to help you with tourist suggestions, restaurant recommendations and anything to help your stay be more enjoyable.

The Golden Gate Bridge, Presidio, Coit Tower, Fisherman's Wharf and many of San Francisco's must see destinations are all close.

Born in Boston, I've now lived in San Francisco for over 6 years. I'm a small business owner and enjoy living in the great state of California.

This cottage is in the backyard of my home. I will be more than happy to offer 'concierge' services free of charge. Sightseeing recommendations, restaurant suggestions or anything I can do to help your trip be more enjoyable, just ask !

What makes this cottage unique

The cottage in the back is very unique because it is a detached unit which is rare in San Francisco. Nobody below you or above you. It also has a yard and a patio and is sun drenched. Many types of birds can be spotted back there and it is very quiet.

Payment is usually accepted in the quoted currency () unless the currency and the amount is specifically agreed in advance with the owner / advertiser.

The perfect cottage in one of the best areas in SF

This cottage was absolutely perfect! I spent 10 days here with 4 children, ages ranging from 4 to 12 years old. The pictures definitely do not do the place justice. it is extremely clean, very spacious, super quiet, and well prepared for arrivals. We felt very much at home and certainly had all the amenities we needed. The bedrooms were very comfortable and the kitchen perfectly stocked. The owner was extremely helpful in getting us set up and made sure we had everything we needed. Any questions we had, he answered very expeditiously or turned up to help us out. He even regularly helped us locate lost toys under furniture.

Additionally, I could not have asked for a better spot. We were within walking distance to great restaurants, markets and shops/boutiques as well as public transportation. I rarely found the need to leave the area except for sightseeing. It was an extremely safe neighborhood and I felt very secure with the kids.

All in all, I highly recommend this place and hope to stay here during my visits to San Francisco.

Perfect Spot in San Francisco

We stayed in this house for a week in October, it was perfect. The pictures don't do it justice. It is fully equipped with many high end and thoughtful touches. This included, spare toothbrushes if you forgot yours, shampoo, keurig coffee maker (with coffee and tea!!), outdoor patio with a gas grill etc. etc. It is very quiet and private with a private gated entrance.
It is located in a great neighborhood with plenty of restaurants and shops to walk to. It is very close to the marina district and fisherman's wharf was about a 20 min. walk.
The owner, Scott was very helpful when needed with suggestions for places to eat and activities. He also respected our privacy when we didn't need him.
We honestly could not have asked for a better house and host. I hesitate to recommend this because I want to come back and I'm afraid it will be taken by another traveler.

Fabulous cottage in wonderful neighborhood

We stayed at the cottage while making funeral arrangements for our brother and upon arrival, we were very stressed and depressed. Retiring to this cottage each night was very peaceful and relaxing for our family. Scott was a wonderful host and made great suggestions for restaurants and places for us to enjoy during those brief moments of spare time. The accommodations were lovely, immaculate and comfortable. Restaurants and shops are literally a few minutes walk away. Considering the circumstance of our visit, we managed to have a nice time and this was the perfect retreat for us. Thank you Scott!!

Terrific cottage just steps from Marina and Union Street

I really hate writing this review as it will attract many inquiries to this gem - and I only wish I could stay in similar accommodations as I travel.
This cottage is freestanding and tucked behind the street with it's own patio and garden. 2 nicely sized bedrooms (with one very large walkin closet) and large full bath are on the entry floor with living, dining, kitchen and powder room upstairs. Granite kitchen and marble bath are indicative of high end finsh out of cottage. Hardwoods are throughout. Parking in the garage accommodated a full sized SUV. Access to the side yard and entry is secured so we felt very safe in the cottage. Wireless internet, flatpanel TV and iPOD connectivity worked flawlessly. A short walk away is the Marina and Union Street - there's really no reason to leave the neighborhood to enjoy the essence of San Francisco. Scott - the owner - was a phone call away (didn't need to). Experience San Francisco as a native by staying at this truly exceptional accommodation.

Perfect Stay - Great neighbourhoodpaking

This house is beautifully maintained with comfortable beds. The house was beautifully cleaned for our arrival and the host gave us the house tour as well as provided the brief introduction of the things close to the house. The location of the house is excellent (5 to 10 minutes drive to all of these famous places:Pier 39, golden gate, science academy etc), a perfect place for me and my family. The owner was very helpful and provided good information about San Francisco. I will recommend this to all of my friends. One last thing to mention, parking is a most if you are planning to go to San Francisco and this property has the garage parking. Once again I want to thanks the owner for all the things he did for us.
