Luminous flats with exposed wooden beams in Charming Venetian Neighborhood

Enjoy your Venetian experience in our luminous, recently remodelled one bedroom apartment. Our flat is located one bridge and two passes from the beautiful Zattere. Here you will find the locals soaking up the sun, sipping on a spritz, enjoying the many outdoor restaurants and café’s on this open canal. For those of you that prefer to cook at home, there are many open markets and the main supermarket around the corner. The closest Vaporetto stop is San Basilio which will take you to Saint Mark's Square in approx 10 minutes.

The apartment sleeps 4 persons total. The master bedroom has a queen size bed and the living room has two single sofa beds. The heating and air-conditioning can be regulated to your preference. The amenities include: Dishwasher, Washing Machine, Oven + Cook top, Wi-Fi Internet & Satellite T.V.

*Convenient location for those of you arriving/departing from the Marco Polo Airport, Ple. Roma, Train Station or on one of the many cruise line.

ARRIVING TO THE APARTMENT: From Marco Polo Airport:

•Car Taxis: Price aprox.40€ / 20minutes. Taxis are readily available at the airport at taxi stands directly outside the airport. You will need to tell the driver to drop you off at San Basilio Ex Bagni in Venice. The apartment is just a short walk from there.

•Alilaguna Water Boat: Price 13€ each, aprox. 1-1.5hrs. Upon exiting the airport you will need to follow signs for the Arsenal or Alilaguna. You can purchase tickets online to avoid long lines at the airport. www.alilaguna.it/index.en.html The Alilaguna Boat; RED or BLU lines will take you to the Zattere stop. The apartment is just a short walk from there.

By Train:

•Upon exiting the Train Station you will see the ACTV Vaporetto stops (Venice’s public transportation), here you can purchase your tickets and ask info if needed. The easiest way to get to San Basilio is by taking the number 2 Line (Not towards Rialto) (20 min. ride, get off at the 4th stop “San Basilo”).

About Me :-): Charming Venice is not an agency... just me; a working mother who runs this small business from my home. I began 3 years ago when I was pregnant with my first child, decorating and renting out our 2 family apartments. We had so much fun that we decided to then add two more to the list. I now have two children and my husband and I are in the process of opening a boutique bed&breakfast on the grand canal. I have very high expectations of the people I work with and the homes I rent. You are more than welcome to come and visit me if we don't meet the day you arrive. I often meet guests out for a sprit... a venetian cocktail that we drink before dinner.

Eat Like a Venetian: In each apartment you will find my very own guide for restaurants that I personally frequent throughout Venice, each divided by neighborhood. My husband and I are very passionate about food, in fact most places we travel too or have lived in the past have been guided by our palette. Unfortunately like most touristic cities it is easy to find yourself in 'tourist traps' and that is the last thing I would want to happen to you as we have so many wonderful restaurants. If you are eager to see what's on my list, don't hesitate to ask me to email it to you before your arrival.

Located in the vibrant Dorsoduro neighbourhood, where Venetian families spend their days enjoying life and passersby in the beautiful Campo Santa Margherita. Here you will find Cafe's and Restaurants for all preferences. The colourful Zattere is just over the bridge along the Giudecca Canal. The sun sets are always a spectacular site, painting the sky with Venetian colours.

Arriving from the Marco Polo airport is just a 40€ car taxi ride and it will drop you off just 100meters from the apartment on a private road that is accessed only by taxi's and Venetians with permission.

Comfortable, Spotless and Properly Equipped

A wonderful few days in Venice made doubly enjoyable by staying in the lovely Cozy San Basilio apartment. The apartment is ideal for a small family (3 adults and 2 children in our trip); the beds comfortable, the whole apartment spotless, and the kitchen properly equipped, they even supplied Wellingtons in case of high tides..

It is ideally located for exploring Venice, 200 yards from a Vaporetto stop and a ten to fifteen minute walk from both the centre and the train station. It is also a quiet residential area, the local bar and cafe a welcome respite from the crowds, and the supermarket round the corner very useful for shopping.

I would wholeheartedly recommend Cosy San Basilio to anyone visiting Venice, especially any family with young children.

We had the absolute fortune to find this lovely apartment for our Venetian stay. It was perfect in every way. We were in a quiet residential area, but an easy walk or vaporetto ride from everything. The apartment is well equipped and we felt quite at home in our comfy surroundings. It had a new bathroom, very usable kitchen, plenty of closet space and boots for acqua alta! If we return to Venice, I would stay here again.

Location très agréable qui se situe non loin de la Piazza Roma et dans un coin assez tranquille. Appartement d'apparence neuf et joliment décoré. Il faut juste songer à remplacer les ampoules au lieu de mettre des éclairages d'appoint. Mais c'est un petit détail qui n'influence guère sur la prestation de cette location.
Nous avons rencontré Lisa qui est vraiment adorable et à l'écoute. Elle nous a bien accueillis et bien présenté l'appartement, les environs et tout ce qu'il y avait à savoir sur notre séjour à Venise.
Donc, n'hésitez pas à louer cet appartement. On s'y sent très bien.
La seule chose à revoir serait la communication. La réservation s'est très bien passée mais les mails suivants étaient soit sans réponse soit long à venir. et une fois sur place, j'ai attendu un mail concernant l'heure de sortie qui n'est jamais venu.
Mais, cela aussi est un détail ! Je reviendrai sans doute...

Beautifully furnished, good location,helpful owner

We stayed in Cozy San Basilio for a week and a half. We didn't know until 2 days beforehand that we'd definitely be moving in, and didn't know until the last minute when we'd be moving out; but the owner (who lives in Venice) could not have been more helpful and accommodating, and was extremely flexible about our arrival and departure arrangements.

The apartment itself is beautifully furnished in contemporary style and impeccable taste, while retaining original features such as the exposed beams; it was well equipped and I'd be quite happy to live there all the time!

The location was perfect for us, being in the area we know and love best in Venice but quiet and not right on the beaten track.

Highly recommended.

Our stay at the "Cosy San Basilio" apartment was excellent. The apartment is really nice and extremely clean. The kitchen is full of useful stuff, including an icebox, a dishwasher and a washingmachine, and even the coffee is already provided for. The place is perfect for 4 people, or families with three kids, but even for us 5 adults there was enough space. The location is quiet and very well connected with Zattere and San Basilio stations (the boats will take you directly to San Marco in like 5min). And there is a big Supermarket (open 7 days) just around the corner, which proved to be very convenient too. When I come back next time, I hope this place will be available again! Thanks, Brittany, for the last-minute booking and great communication!
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
