Cutrofiano Vacation Rental apartment: Cutrofiano

I recently stayed for one week at the Jonan Apartment with my two teenage children. I must say it was absolutely splendid, such style! The ensuites, though small are of a very high standard. The Apt has all the modern conveniences while keeping its historic charm. Very high vaulted ceilings. The kitchen was great for the family to congregate in ( most Italian kitchens are tiny) and plan our days activities. The town has all the character one would expect, great café/Bars good local shopping and a few very good restaurants.

Parking is easy, free and very close to the apt. The beaches, well what can I say, the last time I saw such clean fine sand and wonderfully clean sea was in the Carribean. Not over crowded at all. My children just loved there time on the beaches which are only a short drive from the Apt.

All in all, a great holiday made wonderful by our choice of accommodation. Great location with Panache! We have already booked for 2010. This place will book up very quickly !

We were looking for a holiday base where we could do some sightseeing, and have the opportunity for lazing on the beach, however, we did not want the area to be too commercialised "touristy". We could not of picked a more suitable place, it supplied us with everything we wanted and more. Firstly the apartment we chose was stunning, it had recently been totally renovated to provide five star accomodation. The shower rooms were of the highest qualty and the kitchen provided the best facilities you could wish for. There was a very large roof terrace that was ideal for early evening drinks and for watching the sun go down. The BBQ was a surprise and very welcome as the weather was perfect for al fresco eating. Furniture and fittings were of the higest standard and added to the ambience of the apartment,
The village of Cutrofiano has been unaffected by tourisim and has the feel of a slower pace of life. A number of local bars with some very good but inexpensive restaurants were within walking distance of the apartment. We visited the town of Lecca which is approx 40 mins drive away and is of great historical interest for their Baroque style buildings and ampitheatre. The town also has a wide variety of shops, restaurants and bars far too many to sample (unfortunately) in the short time we were there. I would say this was one of the nicest apartments we have stayed in and coupled with the location made this a holiday to remember, for all the right reasons.
