About Mark Anthony Mercado
Ed Reid and Ellen Bradbury began renovating old adobe houses in the historic 'Barrio de Guadalupe' years ago with the house that they still live in and love. Ellen finished her art history schooling at Yale (while raising two children), she capped a successful curatorial career, returning to Santa Fe as Director of the Museum of Fine Art. Ed was a Houstonian, PhD chemist from Rice, and winding up a consulting carreer in the petrochemical industry. He moved to Santa Fe in 1985, met and fell for Ellen. They married, and embarked on a life that featured renovation of numerous humble old houses in the Westside Historic District where they still live. Ed has been a Reoltor since 1989.
Ellen grew up in and around Los Alamos, doing art, riding horseback, and soaking in the indigenous cultures. Through her organization Recursos de Santa Fe, Ellen is a consults on art, history, native cultures, archaeology, and travel itineraries in the greater Southwest and Mexico.
