We love Lake Henry and Sweet Maple Haven. We built this as our 4 season vaction home and family sanctuary. The house and lake are beautiful, peaceful and relaxing but also close enough to town activities (Scranton is 20 mins). We only rent a few weeks a year so we can enjoy ourselves..
Incredibly beautiful. Kayaking is fantastic as well as the local forest..
Lake Henry is a familyfriendly lake. Unique geography provides great areas for fishing and crusing in the pontoon as well as has large areas just for canoeing, kayaking and pedal boating. Have fun on the water, fish, bird watch (enjoy our local bald eagles) or simply relax with family and friends around the fire pit, sitting on the dock, rocking on the four porches or star gazing on the balcony (amazing stars). 2000 acres wildlife preserve is across the street. Numerous trails close by.
Hamlin our local town is 5 miles away and has numerous restaurants, stores and shops. Scranton, Honesdale and Hawley are 20 minutes. Cammelback and Sno are 25 minutes. Elk and Jack Frost are 35 mins.
Local Organic vegtables and the best every farm fresh home made ice cream are less than 5 minutes away.
