Flat is situated minutes from Glasgow city centre near to Glasgow Royal Infirmary. Alexander Park which boasts bowling greens, public golf course, playgrounds, small picnic area and orienteering course is about 10 minutes walk away. Within a short walking distance is the modern Whitehill leisure centre. Facilities here include 25 metre swimming pool, teaching pool, fitness suite, health suite, spectator gallery, massage, baby changing and disabled access. Glasgow city centre is about 20 minutes walk or about 5 minutes bus journey, The city centre is a vibrant shopping area with a vast array of restaurants. Access to the M8 motorway is within a half mile. This gives access to the east coast and Edinburgh which is 40 minutes drive away. Surprisingly comfortable.

Basic from the outside, the flat doesn't at all dissapoint from the inside. When I arrived it was clean and neat, providing me with everything I required to stay. Master bedroom and bathroom behind a door gave me privacy from my guests that I only needed to venture forth from if I needed a shower. (the master bathroom has only a tub)

I've stayed a lot of places, in a lot of hotels all through Scotland and the flat was well worth the rental price.

The owners were polite, charming and generous people.

Do not be put off by the fact it is in the East End. I know I was warned that certain parts of town are not to be wandered about. The flat is secure, off of a heavily travelled road, and near the hospital, not buried in the slums somewhere. It is well within walking distance of downtown and only three to four pounds by cab from downtown.

You can sleep in the flat, even at 2 AM on a friday without having to hear the sounds of Mardi Gras on the street below. Anyone who's tried to sleep through the night in a downtown Glasgow hotel knows what I'm talking about.

Excellent holiday

On arrival we were met by John & Kathleen who were very helpful with local info. (more in folders in the flat). The flat was great - very clean & everything that you might need was provided (including a washing machine!). Taxi into Glasagow centre for £4 (just walk to the main road - never waited more than 2 minutes for a taxi to pass) - lots of good pubs/restaurants & friendly people. Neighbour across the landing had a housewarming party on the day we arrived, but we heard no noise in the flat. Even better, we were invited to the party, even though we were at least 30 years older than everyone there! Really nice people. Visited Edinburgh & Loch Lomond by train & didn't have enough time to cover all the shops, galleries & museums in Glasgow in the week that we were there. Fantastic city that we hope to visit again. I would recommend this apartment to anybody -it's well situated, well furnished, clean & quiet. What more could you want? Thanks to John & Kathleen for helping us have a fantastic holiday.

Lovely Flat

This was a lovely flat with lots of space and comfort. The location was a convenient as a short walk took you to the heart of the city. There was plenty of room to spread out and the apartment grounds were well kept. John and Kathleen were so helpful and with a quick tour of the flat one can plainly see that they take pride in their business as they are very meticulous and covered all details making it a very fun and inviting atmosphere for families with children! If returning to Glasgow, I would not hesitate to rent this flat again!

Comfortable well appointed apartment

We enjoyed our two night stay in this very comfortable flat. Kathleen and John, as well as having a cot and high chair for our 16 month old, very consideratly left some toys for her to play with as well. A great idea after days of touring in the car. The walk in to Glasgow city center was about 15 minutes, not too far at all and so much easier than tring to take the car in. The kitchen was very well equipt for self catering, and there was an easy walk to supermarkets and cafes. The Curry Cafe, a 5 minute drive away does great Indian take away though if you don't want to cook. Thanks again to Kathleen and John for a very enjoyable stay.
