Huelga Utrera is a mountain hamlet lost in time. Sitting on the confluence of the Segura and Madera rivers at 1000m altitude, it is surrounded by stunning mountains and dense forest. The house has been fully restored in traditional style, it's spacious, has excellent views and a large patio and garden leading on to the orchards of the hamlet. There are literally dozens of marked hikes directly from the house and in the immediate area. The wildlife is amazing and the patio of the house is a great spot to see deer, red squirrels, wild boar and a large selection of birds of prey. Water is the theme of the area. The 'acequia' that irrigates the orchards, gurgles past the front door of the house. There is excellent swimming and fishing within a stone's throw of the house and the nearby lake provides opportunity for other water activities. This is one of Spain last truly unspoilt mountain areas.
