This stunning Jacobean Manor is grade 1 listed and some of its rare architectural and interior features date back to medieval times. There has been a house on the site since the early 16th century but the existing property was built in the early 17th century by an ancestor of the present owners. The property has remained in this well-established family, descended from an ancient line of Welsh princes ever since. Today it is still very much run as a family home but is let on an exclusive use basis to accommodate up to 14 guests in seven luxurious bedrooms with a guarantee of beautiful surroundings and the utmost privacy. The house is perfect for family gatherings, retreats and house parties, but is also set up for corporate events. The house is located in Flintshire, North Wales, and is also near to the Roman town of Chester and can be accessed from Liverpool (within 35 minutes), Manchester (within 50 minutes) and Birmingham (within 95 minutes). North Wales has many areas of outstanding natural beauty, and the welsh mountains and mount Snowdon can be easily reached from here. There are historic towns in the region with numerous attractions. There are two country parks near the house, and a country club with golf course. Sea angling can be arranged off the welsh coast. If you are self-catering and feel like a rest, you can visit one of the many pubs and restaurants in the area.

The hosts like to be as flexible as possible when it comes to catering and can arrange for a dedicated chef and serving staff with menus arranged in advance. Guests can order a full Welsh breakfast, sandwiches and picnic food for day trips, afternoon tea, and formal staffed meals if required. The housekeeper can provide breakfasts, and is on duty until midday every day, to ensure that the house is kept tidy, that the beds are made, the fires are laid and that guests are happy.

Notes: There is an Aga and an electric range. This property is ideal for weddings and conferences. A series of activities are available in the house, on the grounds or in the surrounding area. There are places of interest to visit locally and archery, falconry, pheasant and clay pigeon shooting can be arranged. The house has a wide-screen TV in the beamed room on the second floor, with Sky and DVDs. Free WIFI is available throughout the house, and daily newspapers are always kept in the drawing room. Fflint Hall is accessed via a tree-lined driveway and is set in around 100 acres of grounds providing complete seclusion. There is a 3 acre garden within the walls round the house, and a south facing Victorian walled garden that acts as a site for marquees and is often used in summer for special events and weddings. Beyond the formal lawns is a 17th century barn. The grounds lead down to the local river, and the area is great for walking and exploring.
