Situated between Ft. Myers and Sarasota, is the lovely Little Gasparilla Island. The island, reminiscent of true old Florida, is a bridgeless/non-commercialized barrier island. It is only accesible by boat and the only means of transportation is by golf cart. A community dock is available for mooring of boats on the intracoastal waterway.

Sandy Bottom's Beach Bungalow imbues what a true beach bungalow should feels like. With white washed plank wood walls and seagrass furniture, the bungalow is the ideal place for getting away from it all. Watch and listen to the waves roll in from the front lanai as you sip your beverage of choice. Once you are on LGI, the world and your worries will disappear.

My wife and I just returned from a week at Sandy Bottoms and had a wonderful week to get away and chill - just what we needed. The house was recently renovated and very clean. The decor was that of a beach house and made you feel comfortable, Everything we needed - from blow dryers to beach chairs were readily available. We had a few questions for the owner and she was very quick and helpful when we called. Although there are homes in front of the house - you could see the gulf no matter which direction you looked. Would definitely stay there again.

We had a lovely stay at Sandy Bottoms. The cottage appeared to be newly renovated with a beautiful decor. The views of the beach were great, and the screened-in porch with the sectional was a real treat. The location was perfect, quiet and steps from the beach. We loved the sunny yard with chaise seating, enclosed by a picket fence. Late afternoon, after returning from the beach, my husband took an outdoor shower while my son played in the sand and I read a book. The owner was most helpful and easy to work with. When we return we hope to stay here again.

Great vacation rental

We spent 4 days in the island and this property was a great place to stay. The property was extremely clean and well-maintained, The house is very charming and nice decor. The owner was very helpful answering all the questions we had. The pictures are accurate, I would say the place is much bigger than it looks on the pictures. The beach is very close to the house. You can see beautiful sunsets from the terrace. Overall I highly recommend this place. We enjoyed the experience very much.
