Limerick and set on a stunning wooded estate roamed by deer, the house is approached via a tree lined avenue and has a romantic appearance as the main house is covered with climbers and flanked with an ancient turret to one side and the ruin of a former castle building to the other. Today the castle is available for exclusive use rental sleeping 14 people in 8 bedrooms in great comfort and style, with central heating throughout. Guests are invited to escape the mundane aspects of the modern world without losing its conveniences, to wander the grounds taking in the peace and beauty of the surrounding countryside, then return home refreshed and relaxed to the height of luxury. There is a theatre nearby which has visiting performances. For those interested in history, the West Limerick area has many archaeological and historical sites from the stone age circles of Lough Gur to numerous Norman castles. Muskerry Castle is ideally situated for day trips: Cork, The Ring of Kerry, Dingle Peninsula, The Cliffs of Moher, Galway and Cashel are a few suggested destinations. The hosts are on hand to provide guests with tourist information in advance of their arrival and during their stay.
