Dan Smith is the owner of Sweet Cheeks Winery and a few other properties in the Crow Valley. In 1976 Dan escaped the concrete and traffic of LA County with his very pregnant wife, kids, a dog, cat and a hampster. Dan arrived with that wide eyed appreciation of the beauty and diversity Oregon has to offer. He has devoted the last 36 years planting and nurturing his vineyards, building a successful winery and refurbishing several homes in the valley.
This property was part of the original McCulloch Homestead that spread over 100 acres. The old McCulloch Cemetery is about 1/4 mile south of the estate. The home was built in 1904 and a picture in the sunroom of the farmhouse shows the McCulloch family and the original version of the house. There is an orchard the family planted visible from the westside deck of the house. Dan has remodeled the 'Farmhouse' to luxury status with a level of comfort that is felt when you walk through the door. When asked about what attracted Dan to this area, he said honestly it was the Ch'i of the valley that left an impression on his soul. Dan would like others to experience the peace and beauty embedded in this land.
Central location. Where ever you are coming from or going to. The coast, mountains, or right here in this valley, you are never too far or out of the way from your destination.
