This delightful 14thC house is situated in the heart of the medieval town of Mirepoix. It offers five spacious double bedrooms, each with bathroom ensuite. There is a large kitchen and dining area, all fully equiped with dishwasher, washing machine, microwave etc.
Rentals may be on a short term basis (minimum two nights) or longer term weekly/monthly basis and changeovers are as flexible as possible.
Just step outside and enjoy the delights of the cafes and restaurants Mirepoix has to offer, with its fantastic local cuisine and irresistible patissieries.
The house would be ideal for someone wishing to try life in France and so is available on long term let also

The house is in a superb location offering something for everyone. Every Monday there is a traditional French farmers market, where you can taste the locally grown and often hand made produce. Through out the year there are numerous fetes and festivals both in Mirepoix and the surrounding villages, including several night markets. There are also the great firework celebrations for bastille day in the nearby town of Carcassonne. You can visit the historic Cathar castles and explore the Pyrenees. There are a range of outdoor activity centres offering climbing, canoeing, windsurfing and sailing as well as organised treks into the mountains. For a more relaxed approach, there are the lakes Puivert and Montbel and the not too distant beaches of Narbonne. In winter the ski slopes beckon just 45 mins away in Mont d'olmes, and Ax les Thermes and Andorre an hour away also.
To get here:
There are numerous airports supported by budget airlines: Carcassonne 35mins, Toulouse 1hr, Montpellier and Perpignan 1hr 20mn and Barcelona 2hrs. The TGV travels from Paris to Toulouse or you can take a steady drive from the UK straight down the autoroutes. There is also the possibility of taking the ferry to Santander in Spain and driving across the edge of the Pyrenees to Mirepoix (about five hours)
