We moved to the Cape in 2009 and took on a large renovation project and we love it. A year later we purchased this property/project. The previous owner had been here for 50 years and never updated a thing. The cottages were poorly maintained and it was reflecting on the neighborhood. We Completely gutted and renovated the entire property. In 2014 we completed the renovation of the adjacent home www.vrbo.com/514456.
We now have 2 beautiful properties for our guests to enjoy. We love having guest re visit year over year and tell us how much they love the property, location and the cape overall. We are close to fresh and salt water beaches. You will enjoy your time here.
Ed purchased this cottage in 2010
This property has just been completely renovated, new everything including furniture, kitchen, etc. It's a great place and you will feel at home. It's 4 miles or a $10 cab ride to shopping and may great restaurants on Main Street in Hyannis Center. There is a Bus Stop about 30 yards from the front door that will take you to Hyannis or many other Cape destinations. Best Sushi anywhere I have found to date, Seafood like no place in the Country and great traditional American, Italian and Mexican. There is an active nightlife with many nighttime entertainment options. We would love to share our experiences with you. We can offer you suggestions on anything Cape Cod. Just ask!
Close to everything you need and we can help you with ideas as well. AC, Cable, Google TV, Sony Blue ray, local Beach Parking Pass Included (saves you $15-$20 a day). Large amount of parking and great location. Come enjoy Cape Cod!!
We were excited to write this review as we have now arrived back home from our trip to Cape Cod the last week in August 2014. It was absolutely beautiful weather!! The beauty of the Cape is breathtaking. We had an awesome time and our accommodations at this cottage were perfect and met our needs. We didn’t sweat the small stuff. The history behind it is incredible. We made it our home away from home – so much nicer than a hotel, etc. We met the owner Ed briefly – he was helpful and got back to us with answers to our questions. It is actually a perfect place to stay in the Cape Cod area as it is centrally located to all the neighboring towns for day trips and excursions. I would highly recommend this and we would stay here again definitely.
Really nicely renovated 2 Br, nice living room and great kitchen. Very close to amazing beaches and short drive to food. Couldn't have had a better time.
My family (including our two Labrador retrievers) enjoyed our week in this lovely Cape Cod cottage. The cottage was recently and nicely renovated and was equipped with everything we needed for our week's vacation -- even better than advertised! The owner was an absolute pleasure to deal with and was kind enough to make some excellent restaurant recommendations. The central Cape location of this property made for easy trips to beaches, whale-watching, fishing, strolling around town, and dining while permitting us to enjoy quiet nights away from the traffic and noise of more crowded Cape towns.
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed this home! Everything inside the home is brand new and has a very open floor plan. We had plenty of room (we also brought out dog.) Loved the outside shower- seems like a staple for all Cape homes. Playground, general store and ice cream are all walking distance. This house is on a main street but we could hardly hear the traffic going by. The big screen TV was very convenient for us to watch the Red Sox and for the kids to watch cartoons. The Wifi connection, the beach pass and on-site laundry were all very nice surprises! Very close to Craigville Beach (2 minute drive) and located right off of Rte 28 made it very convenient to jump on Rte 6. We would stay here again!
We stayed at this cottage the past two years. Our two children, 3 and 7, shared the second room with no complaints. We were very comfortable for our week long stay. Laundry downstairs is a big bonus. Centerville is a great little town, with a great playground and a general store that we love. Very close to the beach - included parking permit was great; can be used in multiple villages and we used it at the boat dock in Cotuit. Ed is friendly and helpful and all of our interactions have been positive. We would definitely recommend staying here. On this trip we enjoyed Highfield Hall in Falmouth, breakfasts at the Daily Paper in Hyannis, shopping at Mashpee Commons, Craigville Pizza (have one at Craigville beach at sunset), Roadhouse Cafe and Spanky's in Hyannis. We took our boys to the Pirate Adventure out of Hyannis - they loved playing pirates on a real ship! We come to Cape Cod yearly to visit family, but would recommend a trip here to anyone. The things to do list is endless!
