Nice small house with perfect view

We rented this house to escape New England winter and to be close to our daughter and granddaughter. It was just as advertised-the view from the front yard is magnificent. Just down the hill is the yacht club and the view includes the harbor and sky line of the city. Point Loma is a beautiful part of San Diego, close to downtown, easy to get to La Jolla, Coronado, the Zoo. Many good restaurants are down the hill.
According to Zillow, the house was built in 1943. It is well maintained and clean. The owner supplied lots of things that I expected to buy-paper towels, laundry detergent, plastic bags and wrap, cleaning supplies. The kitchen has what is probably the original stove top and oven, and they do work well. Kitchen is well equipped, except there is no coffee pot! Master bedroom on the small size by current standards, but certainly adequate. Bathroom fine, not luxurious. The living room was comfortable, although the lighting throughout the house is somewhat dim. There is no cable TV, and the outside antenna did not pick up public television, so we missed Downton Abbey.
The owner was very responsive. He met us at the house, showed us how everything worked. A couple of days later, we could not get the heat to work. When I called him, he was there in half an hour! He thought he fixed it, but the heat was still off. It was fixed within hours. Our security deposit was promptly returned.
WE would rent this property again. It is not fancy nor the height of luxury, but is is comfortable, well equipped, and in a great location. The information on VRBO accurately describes the house.
