What an absolutley fantastic home!! The house was extremely clean, and the fireplace was wonderful. The views are great, especially looking up at the stars - truly amazing. We can't wait to get back to the northwoods and enjoy the summer months - fishing, rafting and tubing.
Our stay could not have been better. The cabin was more like a home away from home. Everything was thought of and provided by the owners. We have not stayed in a rental that was as well stocked as this one was, from the kitchen to the linens. The porch was so nice to sit on in the early morning or the evening and be mosquito free. Thanks to the owners for sharing their beautiful property with us.
Had a great time. Good time around the fire pit, four wheeling, kayaking (with the kayaks that were provided), and trout fishing.
We had a great stay at this cabin. It is a peaceful, quiet location that really couldn't be more perfect for relaxing. The house is well stocked and we didn't lack for anything. The owners and caretakers are both extremely helpful. We will be staying again in the future!
A really charming, nicely equipped vacation rental--the cabin is pretty newly built, and really nicely done. And it had one of the absolutely best-stocked kitchens I've encountered in years of renting thru VRBO! The location is really beautiful too--right on the Peshtigo, and we enjoyed the kayaks very much (the path down to the dock for put-in on the property is pretty steep and a bit tricky while carrying heavy kayaks, so be prepared with good water shoes, no flip flops). The only 2 minor issues I'd note for potential renters is that the shared space would be really tight for more than 4 adults; the only real dining table is a picnic table on the screened-in porch which can be tricky if you get bad weather (which can easily happen in Wisconsin: even in late July, we had 2 nights where it was impossible to be outside in the evening due to pounding rain and cold, and finding a way to eat indoors was not easy); the living room and kitchen are very nice but also very small. The other thing to mention is that even with 3 different cell phone service carriers between us, we couldn't get phone service without driving 35 minutes or so to the nearest town--that's not a big deal (it's actually kind of nice to be disconnected!) but given this, the house should definitely have a landline--if there was an emergency this could be a real issue since there'd be no way to call an ambulance/fire department/police. And even if you have a minor issue such as a septic tank in need of pumping, as we did, it's a major hassle to have to drive an hour just to phone the owners. Otherwise, cute place and responsive owners.
Stayed 3 nights at this clean, comfortable cottage. There were 5 couples in our group. We had plenty of sleeping room with the addition of the bunk house located above the garage. We enjoyed relaxing and having meals on the screened-in porch. Decor was really nice with some unique touches. The outdoor shower with hot water was fun to use. All in all, a relaxing place to stay!
