Restored farmhouse in a quiet rural setting with a 10x5m pool. Between Mirepoix & Foix. Restored stone farmhouse, sleeps 2-10. Luxury apartment, sleeps 2-4. Swimming pool with adjoining barn for shaded sitting and eating. The farmhouse has 5 spacious bedrooms and 2 shower rooms. The hayloft apartment (only available with farmhouse in high season), with its balcony, has 2 bedrooms and shower room. Both have fitted kitchens, dining and sitting rooms. Included are linen, towels, utilities, television, cycles and wi-fi access. Ferme Christine, with views of Pyrénées, is located in tranquil countryside, with excellent transport links. The area is superb for cycling, walking, bird watching, canoeing, Cathar trails and historic sites.

Ferme Christine lies midway between the medieval market towns of Mirepoix and Foix. It can be reached in 50 minutes from either Toulouse on the autoroute (A66) or from Carcassonne. Pamiers rail station is a few minutes away. It has direct lines to Toulouse and Paris, plus a spectacular Pyrenean rail crossing to Barcelona. Pamiers is among spectactular Cathar castles at Montsegur, Foix, Carcassonne and Roquefixade. The natural beauty of the Pyrenees can be sampled by walking, canoeing, or simply motoring to charming locations such as the thermal spa town of Ax-les-Thermes. The area is rich in caves of geologic and prehistoric interest.
