Because the home is located on the waterfront and there is no fence, we do not recommend it for families with young children.

We are a Seattle family currently living overseas.
We love spending time on Lake Washington and find Madison Park an ideal neighborhood for its shops, restaurants and proximity to all Seattle has to offer.
We absolutely love this home. It is comfortable with beautiful furnishings and is very CLEAN. Beds are as good as a luxury hotel and all furniture look like new. The location could not be beat, right on the water in Madison Park. We loved the beautiful views and swimming off the dock. It’s just a short walk to great restaurants and local stores. Our favorites are Belle Epicurian, Cactus and Madison Park Bakery. We will definitely stay here again and can highly recommend it.
This is such a magical place! My husband, my 3 children, my mother-in-law & I chose this place for a couple of reasons: it's on the water, it quiet, & it had plenty of room for all of us! We thoroughly enjoyed waking up to the sound of the water every morning. I loved that we were all able to stay together (not an easy feat for 6 of us!) and we did not feel cramped. It felt like our own little home. We did rent a car and it was a quick drive to all the fun tourist stuff that Seattle has to offer. We will be back!
great location but the house is not kept up as good as it looks on the picture.
This is a beautiful house with great views of Lake Washington and the Cascades. It fit our needs for housing extended family well. Great amenities within walking distance as well. However it is a 15-20 min. drive from downtown Seattle. For us the beauty of the house and the comfort of having a house to ourselves outweighed the location.
The location is perfect. close to the park, restaurants, coffee shops, and other shopping. we loved the nearby park and used it daily. The only draw back for us was that it is a duplex and the sound transfers from the neighbor. our little one goes to bed at 7pm and it was loud from both neighbors in the evenings as she tried to sleep. i don't think you could sleep 7 comfortably either. We slept 2 kids and 3 adults for 2 nights and it was cramped. Cute place and perfect location for us.
We flew into Seattle to take care of my mother's funeral and affairs. We needed a quiet space to rest and process. We shared the home with my sister and her husband, also coming from out of town. Being by the lake, with its restful waves lapping the shore, provided the solace and comfort we needed. Built in the 20's, the detail and period features: front door with leaded stained glass, leaded glass windows, oak wood floors, stepped down living room with French doors opening to patio and dock, added elegant charm to the dwelling.
With the exception of the second bathroom, tucked away on the main floor in what was once part of the garage, to which you had to go through the kitchen and game room to access, the layout of the house provided each of us the privacy we required. The living room, ding room, and bedrooms were comfortable. The WiFi and TV's worked well. We wished the fireplace was operational. It would have added a cozy warmth to offset the dreary, rainy weather, but it wasn't important for our needs.
The kitchen would be okay for those who simply wanted to heat frozen food or prepare quick meals. The appliances and utensils were not for those who liked to cook seriously. I enjoy cooking and prefer to eat a home cooked meal versus going to restaurants. I made do.
What I appreciated most was the prompt attention and communication we received from the owner and the property manager. It rained heavily during our visit. The game room started flooding. This problem was immediately addressed with minimum impact on our stay. The owner was very understanding and accommodated our needs with very short notice. Should the occasion arise that we needed a home to stay in Seattle, I would stay here again.
