Tell me more about the apartment and the area: This property is located high above the village of Okrug Gornji and has stunning views over the islands. It is in a very tranquil location, right beside a green belt area. The apartment building itself has only 8 apartments and our representative Bozena lives on the ground floor. This apartment is especially well laid out for large groups, as the main bedroom with private balcony and ensuite is separated from the other bedrooms by the living space. The swimming pool is located on an elevated site just behind the apartment and is for the private use of the 8 apartments only. The beach is 450m away and is easily accessible on foot. The walk downhill takes approximately 6 minutes - please be advised the walk back will take longer, particularly in the heat. Once final payments have been received, we will forward a welcome pack with information on the apartment and the local area, as well as details on ferry times and recommendations for local restaurants.
What airports will get me close?: SPLIT AIRPORT: Ciovo is a mere 15 minute drive/taxi from Split airport. Split airport is served by many low cost airlines including EasyJet (from Bristol, London Gatwick, London Standsted), Jet2 (from Manchester) and Croatia Airlines (from London Gatwick and London Heathrow). In addition, flythomascook.com offer weekly charters from London Gatwick. From Ireland, the only direct flights are with Croatia Tours (charter flights direct from Dublin to Split on Saturdays during the summer). Flight time from the UK & Ireland to Split is about 2 1/2 hours.
ZADAR AIRPORT: Zadar is a small airport north of Trogir. RyanAir flies directly to Zadar from Ireland (Dublin) and the UK (London Stansted). It is about a 1hr 15 mins drive from Zadar to the apartment and most of this is on the A1 motorway. There is a toll of approx 5 euro each way.
How to get to the apartment: BUSES & TAXIS: There is a regular bus service between the airport, Trogir and Split. A taxi for 4 people from the airport to the apartment should cost no more than 30 euro.
PRIVATE TRANSFERS: We have a local driver who can collect you at Split, Zadar or Dubrovnik airport and transport you to the apartment for an additional cost (prices available on request).
CAR HIRE: Car hire is readily available and all the major international car hire firms have a presence in Split, Zadar and Dubrovnik airports. If you are arriving by car, directions to the apartment will be sent upon confirmation of booking.
