Our house is located in historic Mariposa downtown and is a perfect location to return to during your visit to Yosemite National Park. We offer a fully equipped kitchen. The house has three bedrooms each with a queen bed, one bedroom has an attached half bath, and another with a sliding glass door to the back deck. The living room has a beautiful wood stove with views of the mountains above Mariposa. We are located on a quiet street and neighborhood. We are walking distance to many great restaurants and downtown shops. The town of Mariposa offers many activities in the summer for travelers, such as live music and festivals. Just two blocks from public transportation, leave your car and avoid trying to find a parking spot in Yosemite.

We have just newly remodeled the house with local wood flooring.

About The Owner

Ken and Schree Yager meet in Yosemite and have chosen the area to raise our family. Ken, a former rock climbing guide is the founder of Yosemite Climbing Association and sponsor of the Yosemite Facelift, an annual clean up of Yosemite National Park on Public Lands day. Schree works for a non-profit that connects youth to the natural world. We both love the park and the mountains and rivers that surround it.

The Owner purchased this house in 1996
Why The Owner chose Mariposa

We purchased this house because it is close to Yosemite National Park and we like the historic downtown Mariposa. We also enjoy the views of the mountains from the house.

We are two blocks away from public transportation to Yosemite National Park

Downtown Mariposa offers many free music events in the Mariposa Art's Park. We are just a short walk from this venue. It is a great event for families or a romantic couple evening.

Awesome Rental!

We really enjoyed our stay. We had 6 people, including two grandparents and two boys 6 and 10. The place is clean, neat and cozy. The beds are comfortable with enough linen for 6 people. I am a picky sleeper, never slept well in vacation houses, but this one is just like my own home bed. The kitchen has all utensils and a pretty nice grocery store is within walking distance. The house is decorated with paintings and pictures of Yosemite, and equipped with many kids' pictures books on Yosemite, kids just loved them because they could quickly relate to what they saw during the day in the park. There arealso board games and kids' videos in the house, so the two boys never complained boring or asked for iPad (amazing, isn't it?) We will definitely come back for our next visit.

Wondererful place to stay

I was taking my family to Yosemite for the weekend. I was looking for a comfortable, house we could all relax in. I really found it. The beds are comfortable, kitchen is fully stocked and plenty of room to hang out after a long hike. You do have to drive to Yosemite, but its well worth it. Highly recommend this place if you want a place for the family to enjoy and relax after a big day in Yosemite.

Nice stay!

We had a very nice stay at this house last weekend. The house is more spacious compared to places we’ve stayed in the past. The 3 sizable bedrooms with 3 queen size beds made the sleeping arrangements comfortable for our family (4 adults & 3 kids). Our 4 year old slept on the floor but had beds for everyone else. The condiments, toiletries, extra towels and blankets provided by the owners helped to minimize packing or the need to purchase those items at the store. It’s perfect for a family that doesn’t want to be crammed into a hotel room setting after a long day in Yosemite. We had a great relaxing time and would definitely go back next time we visit Yosemite.

The property was very clean. The kitchen was efficient , including the grill outside. Plenty of supplies in kitchen and bathrooms. The place was bright and very quite in the night. The restaurants and grocery stores were close by. Short drive to Yosemite.
The owners were polite and very helpful in planning our vacation. Will stay again and recommend to friends.

Above and Beyond!

Love this property! My family and I had a great, relaxing week in Yosemite and around Mariposa. The house was everything the listing says and more. There were plenty of towels, comfortable beds, and everything you need for cooking a meal at home instead of dining out. The owners also provided a gas grill with plenty of propane! The owners are very helpful, providing suggestions for activities in Yosemite and/or around Mariposa. The Pioneer Market is close for any supplies/groceries that you would need. The Sugar Pine Cafe is a wonderful spot for breakfast. Savoury's was by far our favorite spot for dinner. It was fantastic! (Please call ahead and make a reservation). The Gold Coin Tavern is also a great spot for lunch or to grab a drink. I have rented several properties through VRBO. The owners did an awesome job! You will not be disappointed!
