This is the second custom home we have built on the same property bordering the Chattahoochee.
Paul Ehrlich purchased this house in 1995
Nestled in a private, wooded, neighborhood, accessed by private road less than 1/2 mile from paved road. Hike along the road to view 4 small lakes and beautiful views. Easy access to the river and still only a few miles from all amenities.
This is more than a cabin. Not the normal heavy pine walls and beams, but still a cabin with matching log siding paneling on the outside and inside. First class appliances and systems throughout.
The house was wonderful and in very good shape. It was exactly what we were looking for...very quiet and peaceful. It forced us to relax and enjoy ourselves. Town is a very short distance away and Yonah Mountain Winery is just around the corner. Bring kids during the summertime and use for romantic getaway during winter.
Beautiful home and river front property - a great place to get away from it all, yet still close to downtown Helen and surrounding attractions. The home is open, spacious and well appointed. We went to Helen for an afternoon other than that were very much content to stay "home" and enjoy everything the Heavenly Hideaway has to offer: pool table, firepit , fishing, hot tub etc. Lovely, peaceful setting. We are already trying to coordinate schedules to return summer 2015 so we can experience it again but in warm weather. An excellent choice and the owner was a pleasure to deal with.
The home is a gem! The owner was great to deal with as well. Highly recommend. Well worth the price!
Had a great time with my family over the Thanksgiving holiday. The house was in great shape and the location/view was beautiful.. Would definitely go again.
Great cabin for a long weekend in the North Georgia Mountains. Its a beautiful home and property that overlooks and has direct access to a picturesque mountain stream. It comfortably accommodated 6 adults and one child. Made great use of the fireplace and outdoor grill. The cabin is located 10-15 minutes from Helen and was perfect for getting away and enjoying Helen's Oktoberfest.
Would rent this property again in a heart beat. Owners were proactive and provided all the information we needed to make the process easy and convenient.
My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our week at Heavenly Hideaway (and you are right, it is not your ordinary cabin). It is a beautiful home and very spacious! We enjoyed the two screened porches as well as the swing on the front porch. The landscaping was gorgeous, as well as all the plants and flowers on the wrap-around porch. We only had one day that was somewhat windy, so we got to hear the lovely wind chime hanging at the end of one of the screened porches - it sounded like an organ playing. We saw lots of deer, rabbits, wild turkeys, hummingbirds and other birds. It was an extremely enjoyable week.
