Cottage, 2 Bedrooms + Sleeping Porch, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 4-6)

Less than 50 feet from the shoreline, this charming cottage has everything you need for your family and friends.

This private, calm water lakefront is sandy bottom, very kid friendly. (spring/summer/fall) Long dock to accommodate boats or jet skis. Large platform for sunbathing or playing with the kids. Paddle boat and canoe provided with rental.

Bonfires at night with a good glass of wine creates memories you won't soon forget.

Relax with a good book or take a nap in the comfortable hammock nestled between the trees on the shore.

Queen bed, 2 twin beds, and pull out on the 4 season porch easily accommodates 6.

Cottage is pet friendly to well behaved dogs, a large crate is provided inside as well as an outside kennel for your convenience.

After shopping a fully stocked kitchen awaits you making it easy to get those culinary juices flowing. You are welcome to harvest the tomatoes and herbs from the raised gardens if the time of year allows. Don't forget the barbecue out back!

About Carol

Family owned since 1996. My children are grown and now it's time for a new generation to experience this wonderful slice of heaven. My two dogs and I travel but, still enjoy our time at the lake house.

Carol purchased this cottage in 1996
Why Carol chose Cadillac

Our best friends had a long time family second home in the area and we fell in love with it on the first visit. Area is beautiful and people are very friendly. If you're from the city get ready to say hi and make eye contact with everyone you pass by.

We are currently making some great changes and renovations to the property, more pictures will be coming within the next two weeks.

What makes this cottage unique

After your first stay you will feel the same experience I did every time I came up north on the weekends from the city. Turning left onto East Lake Mitchell Drive releases all the pressures and stress you feel from everyday life. You'll return again and again, I guarantee it!

State Park Camping, Lakefront Lake Mitchell (2800 acres) and access Lake Cadillac (1800 acres). Walking, running or biking around either lake. Sound Garden, Skate Park, Disc Golf and Children's Playscape at Lake Cadillac. Pine Grove Athletic Club just a few miles down the road. Little River Casino 40 minutes west, Traverse City 50 minutes north, Grand Rapids 90 minutes south, Petoskey 90 minutes north. Several great golf courses within 15 minutes. Putt Putt golf and batting cages are just down the street. Boat launch at State Park just down the road. Shopping for food and supplies is easy and close. Fine dining at Hermann's European Cafe is right downtown or Casual Chico's Taco House and many other local restaurants are available.

My wife and I stayed here for two nights to kayak on the Pine River. I have rented numerous places in the area over the years to kayak and ski and this is probably the nicest, at the most reasonable rate. Beautifully maintained (and note it has a very nice kitchen so think about brining your own food to prepare) and a lovely location, feet from Lake Mitchell with a litte firepit in the backyard and plenty of well seasoned firewood. The owner was courteous and informal in the rental process. Loved it and would stay again in a heartbeat.

Charming cottage on the lake! Excellent for a small family with young children. If you have a well behaved dog, this is the place! Dog crate in cottage if needed and an outdoor run. Local hang outs have great food! We were stuck with some unfortunate weather but all in all, a wonderful little hideaway..
Chicago Family of 4, 2 dogs! Fun paddle boat on premises. Water is super shallow off dock to enjoy with the little ones...
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Pet-friendly, Families with Young Children

This rental was a VERY relaxing, enjoyable experience. Ths cottage was exactly what we were lookimg for. Yard was great, swimming in the sandy bottom lake was superb and the fishing was outstanding! The kitchen is a pleasure to use. Grilling was good and the neighbors very sociable. Fire pit added to the evening ambience. Will stay again!

Great weekend in Cadillac

The listing was accurate. Clean, updated kitchen. My husband and I found it very comfortable with anything you would need to make your stay great on the lake. The dog loved swimming in the lake and it was nice to have an outside kennel to use, very dog friendly. Planning on returning next year.
